UPDATE 01/24! | Fixed all my stutter/lag + FPS issues in CS2 just delete directX Cache! 300+FPS

Fixed all my CS2 problems doing the following.

For reference I have a 2070 Super + 3700x. Was getting ~150fps with major stutters and input delay. Just terrible all around.

Tried every fix I found on reddit/youtube/tiktok and think I finally fixed my problem. Went from a super choppy/laggy 100-150 FPS (had 800+ in csgo) in CS2 to stable 300+ in CS2 now. Feels 95% like csgo did now for me as well.

First you need to go into your CS file explorer directory under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive and completely delete the folder titled "directx_installer".

Next you need to go into your Windows search and search for "cleanup" and click disk cleanup. Check the checkbox next to DirectX Shader Cache and click ok. Follow the popup and follow through with the delete of the files.

Restart your computer.

You then need to open steam client and right click csgo, click properties>installed files>verify integrity of game files. Let that run and do the following steps as it goes.

Next follow these Nvidia Control Panel settings:

Then follow these in game video settings:
Anti Aliasing: NONE
Nvidia Low Latency: OFF
Texture: MID
Shadow: HIGH
All Others : OFF or LOW

You should be good now. Following these steps made a night and day difference for me. Get over 1k fps in certain places on maps and everything is feeling crispy again, 95% like CSGO did.

I also removed everything from my autoexec except for my binds (grenades and stuff) and put it under the new place here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo\cfg

Also did launch options:
-console -fullscreen -freq 144 -high -nojoy

NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW
Try this if u have still big hits at the 1%Low fps !!


Opening Steam Console

Forcing shader precompilation requires opening a hidden console built into Steam. You will only need to do one of these methods. After you open the console tab, move on to 'Running the precompilation.

Universal method
This method will work with every version of Steam.

Copy the following text:
steam://open/console

Open your web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.).
Paste the text into the address bar and press enter.
Confirm opening the link in Steam if your browser asks.
Steam should open the console tab.

Copy the following text in console:
shader_build 730

Press enter.

Open Counter-Strike 2 and run around in a practice game for a few minutes.

Go get a coffee or a snack and let Steam build your shaders.

Enjoy your better performance.

Get a slower AMD FX-6300 CPU with a GTX-960 if you want to fix your video settings, My game runs just fine at 60-70 FPS at 1080p settings on "high." Not sure what all you ultra elite pro gamers are complaining about with your $5K computer vs my $500 computer.

This works for me, getting +100 fps more than I usually get but the next day it goes -100 fps again. Repeating the process of deleting the shader cache each day before I play seems kinda weird, anyone else have to do the same?

I uninstalled this garbage game. Probably the first Valve game I ever uninstalled ever. Not because I can't run it but because it literally f u cking sucks. I'm going to stick with CS: Source which is a far better game.

Yeah and no good maps. Most of the CS:GO maps were ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and boring to begin with, CS2 just got rid of the last good maps and Community servers.
Literally almost no reason for us to play that crap anymore. I uninstalled it and will not look back. It's loot box garbage, pay to play competitive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ now.
