Although I do realize Faceit does disable it. It definitely has its place in the game however. Over all I think it's fine.
Friendly mollies even in casual still do ticks of damage and produce sounds that expose the pushing player.
The current friendly fire mechanics have been abused for years by griefers to ban innocent players. E.g. going into mollies of your teammates, decoys in the past before it was patched, or team flashing and then going into their crosshair.
Getting banned because of a missclick during round start is dumb af.
The friendly fire detection is broken and can be easily abused, e.g. throw a moly in spawn and disconnect before it lands.
Cs2 seems to aim at making the game more accessible and casual, and a broken friendly fire system has no place in it.
When I queue with a 5 stack, why should I be punished for shooting my homies. Why should we be 2 man down for that round and 1 man down for the rest of the game. This isn't fun, it's punishing fun, this is a video game.
