All the issues with CS2 so far! (Updated every day since Beta Season launch!)
I will list some issues we have been having here and will be constantly updating it as we find more:
  • :wno: Stickers are messed up. A lot of them clip through the skins or are placed somewhere else on skins ruining old sticker crafts that were actually quite expensive. Some of them look different from their counterparts in CS:GO. Valve seems to work heavily on this recently.
  • :wno: (Personal preference)The legacy skins just look so much better than the new shapes of the guns.
  • :wno: The resolution settings do not seem to work properly / lower aspect ratios do not shrink the screen when in fullscreen mode. There are no black bars.
  • :wno: The game sounds really muffled as if you are underwater. Someone mentioned that he really dislikes how the steps and guns sound.
  • :wno: There is currently no way to display your clan tag in game like you were able to in CS:GO.
  • :wno: Sometimes the money on the scoreboard is broken. I had a friend in one of my matches who to me had $11600 but he only had $1600. We shared screenshots to compare as I could not believe it at first.
  • :wno: If you shoot a Zeus at the end of the round, it seems to drop into the next round.
  • :wno: m_rawinput seems unreachable. You cannot toggle off mouse acceleration and get raw mouse input. Generally a lot of mouse sensitivity issues have been reported.
  • :wno: Counter-strafing does not feel quite as crisp as it did.
  • :wno: There is currently no 5.1 or 7.1 audio option. The game tells you that you shall not use other virtual surround sound solution. I leave this hear anyway as I am unsure if Valve’s solution is adequate for a 5.1 or 7.1 speaker setup.
  • :wno: The map-specific CT and T models do not seem to load even though they are in the game files.
  • :wno: CSTV demo playbacks seem to have a lot of graphical glitches. The demos appear to have some visual glitches when switching between guns/knives. The weapon just doesn't align correctly with the player model. When trying to make frag movies this can be very annoying.
  • :wno: The cl_righthand command is not working anymore, which means you can not play with the gun on the left side of the screen or bind a key to swap between the two which was sometimes useful for clearing angles in CS:GO.
  • :wno: Alt-Tabbing seems to crash the game or even the entire graphics driver on some AMD GPUs.
  • :wno: When moving items in your inventory, it sometimes does not display the icon of that weapon which is being moved around.
  • :wno: There have been reports of problems with hit registration.
  • :wno: A lot of old autoexecs stopped working, because of changes to command lines like net_graph 1, which now is cq_netgraph 1 | 2 | 3 | 4.
  • :wno: All over the community players have been reporting performance issues. Although they seem to be getting 200+ fps and have decent specs they still have the feeling the game is running 60 fps or even less. Neru^ seemed to have fixed this by changing some settings in Windows 11 and mentioned that G-Sync should be disabled for the game to run better.
  • :wno: 21:9 and 32:9 only seems to work in windowed fullscreen mode.
  • :wno: There appears to be an issue with a vignette effect on the HUD.
  • :wno: For some players the entire map glitches and you see multiple instances overlapping each other, post #55 has a screenshot by Jell♾zz.
  • :wno: There has been a report of an issues, where the game would pause freeze/skip frames when zooming in with a sniper rifle on some 4000 series Nvidia GPUs. Update: This seems to not be inclusive to 4000 series cards.
  • :wno: r_drawtracers_firstperson is missing at the moment.
  • :wno: Player-side shooting is still happening meaning you cannot hear other people shoot.
  • :wno: When there are many players (possibly just entities) on a server, the game begins to have increased latency which especially happening in Deathmatch at the moment.
  • :wno: On rare occasions, the weapon icons on the right hand side of the screen seem to glitch and misalign. (I have a screenshot of that publicly available on my profile. It is the one where I am holding the M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor.)
  • :wno: The kill counter card sometimes carries over to the next round and is stuck on the screen until you die.
  • :wno: There has been a reported issue where the entire HUD disappeared and the screen turns grey like in the pre-round timer.
  • :wno: Your position on the leaderboard sometimes cannot be seen as it does not resize the column.
  • :wno: Some hand models of agents are missing and simply the normal CT agent.
  • :wno: Pinging is always orange while in CS:GO it matched the color of the player. This is still an issue in the release build of the game.
  • :wno: When the player loads into a Premier match, while he is inspecting an item, the game leaves him at the menu. When he then tries to reconnect, it simply plays the "Let's go" sound and puts him back to the menu. He can only fix this by restarting his game and then reconnecting.
  • :wno: The agent Getaway Sally seems to be missing some voice lines.
  • :wno: Since the bomb explosion radius has been increased so much, T-side is so much harder compared to CS:GO. This may be intentional.
  • :wno: There has been reported issues with visibility on lower graphics settings when other players are walking through a smoke. Check post #159 for reference.
  • :wno: Someone reported that they have a lot of latency with voice chat.
  • :wno: A lot of people have been saying that they are missing the damage given and taken in the middle of the round, when you die, in the console. This could be a design choice so you have to guess.
  • :wno: Auto equip weapons on pickup has been removed.
  • :wno: There are no player ping location names anymore.
  • :wno: You cannot see how many wins, you still need for your rank in Competitive or Premier mode before you queue up.
  • :wno: A lot of the old maps are missing in the release build.
  • :wno: The other two Deathmatch modes are missing.
  • :wno: Sometimes skins on items do not show up. This often happens in the beginning of a match. You sometimes spawn in with a stock P2000 instead of the USP-S, you have selected.
  • :wno: Netcode is a huge issue at the moment. The delay in gun fights really depends on the difference in ping. You have a bigger chance to win a duel with a higher ping compared to CS:GO.
  • :wno: At times, utility seems to fly through the map and into the void.
  • :wno: Visibility of far distanced enemies can be blurred to an extent of not being able to see them in lower lit areas. This may have to do with specific graphics settings.
  • :wno: Someone mentioned that they dislike the head hitboxes as they find them way too big.
  • :wno: Weapon sound and visual feedback is not strong enough to some, which makes them feel weak.
  • :wno: There appears to be a CPU and GPU utilization issue at the moment.
  • :wno: There are some visual issue regarding smokes on the end of round screen and the M4A1-S having no silencer. This possibly has to do with the game remembering its last state.
  • :wno: The command "ignorerad" to disable radio sounds and text in game seems to reset itself every time you die.
  • :wno: The casual hostage game mode is missing the riot shield, that was previously in CS:GO.
  • cl_bob is missing.
  • :wno: F4 does not always rebuy your previous loadout, even if you have enough money to afford it.
  • :wno: Apparently when you move your mouse too fast repeatedly, you risk a VAC ban. Post #226 has a couple of videos on the topic.
  • :wno: cl_mute_all_but_friends_and_party 1 doesn't mute anyone but displays them as muted.
  • :wno: It seems like alt-tabbing as soon as CS2 launches will sometimes cause a permanent hang.
  • :wno: Sometimes the weapons can be glitched to appear two times on the screen. There is a screenshot by c4p0w in post #230
  • :wno: At the moment you can glitch the fire of the molotov onto the knife or any other weapon by quickly switching to the other weapon.
  • :wno: The bomb can still get stuck under then map sometimes. There is a video of an instance when that happened on Inferno T Ramp in post #232.
  • :wno: At times the guns stop firing mid spray and you have to click the fire button again.
  • :wno: You cannot talk in the lobby making it difficult to communicate fast about what maps to ban or pick for competitive. Discord, TeamSpeak or other software should not be required for this.
  • :wno: A lot of the agents are missing voice lines.
  • :wno: You cannot spectate the games of your friends (with around a 3 minute delay) like you used to in CS:GO.
  • :wno: The models of the AK-47 and UMP-45 appear to have their fire mode selector on "safe". The iron sight on the AK-47 is a lot higher than it used to be in CS:GO. For more information on this read post #253.
  • :wno: It appears that often your loadout does not sync with the server resulting in you having no skins and the default loadout in the warmup or even the first round of the match.

Fixed so far:
  • You can no longer shuffle music kits. Update: You can now even shuffle between any skin, you favorited. :wyes:
  • I should be able to join a practice map with a friend. It just kicks your lobby mate when you join practice mode. Update: It is possible again, since the launch of the release build in private matchmaking. :wyes:
  • Where is the community server browser? Update: It is back. :wyes:
  • The leaderboard for premier often is stuck on loading. :wyes:
  • You cannot swap graffitis in the middle of the match like you used in CS:GO. :wyes:
  • You cannot call timeouts in Premier mode for some reason. Someone has to leave the match for a couple of seconds, if someone has to be AFK for a second or to figure out some strategies. :wyes:
  • There is no "Watch" Tab. So you cannot view your previous match results. :wyes:
  • When spectating the "xray" mode seems to be impossible to toggle. :wyes:
  • The mute all button does not seem to work at all, players appear to be muted but they are actually not. :wyes:
  • There has been reported difficulties with picking up weapons. It appears to have a shorter range than in CS:GO. :wyes:
  • Collision boxes on players seem to be too big resulting in a lot of blocking, you sometimes seem to even get a speed boost when walking near a teammate. It feels like you are rubber banding when this happens. This collision problem is especially noticeable on ladders. When a player is behind on a ladder, you can apparently get stuck, until he moves. Update: There have been multiple fixes in the recent patch notes regarding this, so for now I add the tag here. :wyes:
  • Sometimes the bomb is in a completely different location than it actually is. This has been noticed on Mirage and Ancient. Dropped weapons sometimes appear somewhere else for different players as well. :wyes:
  • There is a bug when a player abandons the match a surrender vote will come up and a single vote by anyone on that team will end the match. :wyes:
  • Some animated player avatars can be distracting and there is currently no option to disable the animation. Update: You can now disable this. :wyes:
  • Picking up weapons is now easier and almost resembles the way it was in CS:GO.
  • Smoke grenades have been patched and work way better (distribution, height, diameter). :wyes:
  • C4 visuals are patched (blinking light issues are gone now) :wyes:
  • Frame rates are more stable since Beta (main menu and in-game) :wyes:
  • Full auto sprays are easier in the release build than they were in the beta.
  • (Personal preference)It should probably be Kills | Assist | Deaths on the scoreboard and not Kills | Deaths | Assists. This is the fact in the match history though, so this is probably intentional, just so you can see kills and deaths at a glace. :wyes:
  • Skins seem to have a bug, where they would not be the same float as the exact same item in CS:GO. Update: This appears to now resemble the way it was in CS:GO. :wyes:
  • Mac support is not coming for CS2, you can demand a refund for your Prime status.
  • Reconnecting in Prime matchmaking seems to be broken at the moment. :wyes:
  • The brightness setting seems to have an issue right now. It simply reverts back when you get out of the settings menu. Tip: Use r_fullscreen_gamma 2.6 or 3 to fix this. :wyes:
  • Some may dislike the restriction on 4 player queues for Premier mode. They can still join as a 4 stack in the Competitive mode though. Update: You can queue as a 4 stack again. There is a kick restriction on the fifth to prevent abuse. :wyes:
  • Boost player contrast does not seem to do anything, at least judging from the graphics options menu. Update: It does appear to do small outline around players. :wyes:

Fps drops. Csgo 399fps uncapped

Cs2 70-140fps on 1440p low

Gpu rx 6700xt cpu ryzen 5 5600x,

Cant imagine how many people are mad that they cant literally play anymore. The whole point of csgo was it ran on every PC. Good way to lose half a player base!

I noticed that a lot of people I encountered were complaining that you cannot see your wins on each map in the competitive mode. This is quite annoying especially in the beginning. When a couple of months have pasted everyone will have some ranks on a lot of the maps. I think adding a counter would be nice either way. :steamhappy:
The community server section is that globe icon that's right next to practice mode when you click on play.

After the last updates is still the same for me too. They said in the release notes "correction to smoke greandes" but it is still like that. Low graphics settings doesn't let you see a player properly if he has a smoke on his background. And this get worse as the distance with the player increases
This has been finally added. I personally haven't been able to replicate it. :spazdunno:

I miss the damage given/taken being displayed in the console, it's been there since I started playing in 1.5 so it's just instinctive to pull up the console as soon as I die- now I just see a lot of errors and no round info and I can't stop myself from doing it.:steamfacepalm:

Thank you! :steamhappy: Yeah, I remember playing the beta of CS:GO and the launch had a lot of issues as well. They fixed a lot of these over the next couple of months back then though.
My review on my Steam page about cs2 have more issues and problems stated.
Feel free to have a look.🙏🙏
They fixed some other things:

- Collision of team members in spawn is now way better than in Beta
- Picking up weapons is now nearly equal to CS:GO
- Smoke grenades have been patched and work way better (distribution, height, diameter)
- Sounds (location and volume) are getting better (since last 5 patches)
- Movement has been adjusted slightly (better than Beta)
- C4 visuals are patched (blinking light issues are gone now)
- Frames are more stable since Beta (main menu and ingame)
- Full auto sprays are more doable (idk what they have done) then in Beta

Issues:

- Netcode creates a tremendous delay when ping differences are too high between two players (shooter and target)
- Reconnect in prime matchmaking was unavailable (two days ago)
- Sometimes any utility can escape textures and to not land within the map (e.g. (de_inferno) a molotov thrown from car to corner behind barrels can disappear in the void)
- Visibility of far distanced enemies can be blurred to an extent of not being able to see them in lower lit areas (may has to do with graphics settings)
- Head hitbox size is way too big and makes the game feel like CoD or Valorant
- Weapon sound and visual feedback is not strong enough (makes them feel weak)

Biggest drawback is the netcode I guess, since it makes the game unplayable if you encounter a lobby with an average ping difference of 30ms+ (e.g. 10ms -> 40ms+).
Strafing seems to not be working properly, charachter looks to be in skates.
