cs2 needs a lot of tuning before it's able to compete with csgo

headshots are insane, there's no way your average joe is hitting above 70% hs rate in csgo
cs2 however? its so easy to just one tap anybody who comes in your way
sprays are all messed up and garbage, ak is horrendous
pistols unless it's the r8 or deagle are total peashooters, mag dumping a guy for only like 15 damage while i get cross map one tapped by someone who's strafing with an r8
cs2 is unbelievably terrible, they should've kept the base functions of csgo and everything and just gave the tick rate a fix.
the game runs incredibly smooth, csgo usually has stuttering issues but cs2 has been like butter for me on 165hz.
left handed, net graph, the new buy menu,
all terrible things that i can think of right now that i'm not exactly happy about

i was so hyped for this and its such a huge let down

current mm rank of dmg and faceit level 6 so i'm by no means 'terrible' at cs, but just now i got out of a game where i went 8 and 21 because it seems like every force was against me.
every game is like that in cs2, insanely high headshot rate (even i'm averaging around a 65-80% hs rate, whereas csgo i'm moreso in the 40-50% bracket) and the nerfed weapons make it totally unenjoyable.

even on faceit with 128 tick on csgo, it feels way better gameplay wise than what cs2 has to offer currently.
if i wanted to play some sort of valorant-esque shooter, i'd just play valorant. it seems like cs2 is trying so hard to be something that it isn't and never will be.
bring us changes that make the game resemble csgo a little more, if this is the direction the game is going, and csgo is taken away, then i'm totally uninterested in continuing in playing counter-strike, which is sad because it's my most played game, spanning many many years.

It wouldn't surprise me if all the testing Valve has done, has been on their own LAN. They have increasingly tried to build CS around the pro tournament scene, but you aren't going to have a pro scene if nobody is playing this game online.

I actually agree. I may not be Global or anything crazy but i think i can hold my own in lobbies. I think my highest rank was LE back when i was playing CSGO a lot. there is something making me feel like i literally cannot compete with most players due to being used to something from CSGO. I feel like so many of my deaths are someone swinging on me and shooting before i can humanly react. It literally looks like they either dont stop moving or saw me a literal half second before i saw them and i get brained. I know this all sounds like a skill issue but its frustrating trying to talk or ask about it cause everyone will just insult you and say GIT GOOD but there genuinely seems like there needs to be some tweaks. im in Low elo lobbies currently (embarrisngly low to be honest) and people are locking onto my head faster than i have EVER seen in CSGO on the ususal. Maybe im just getting old but i still think there is something there making it a little wonkey. My buddy who was global also is having the EXACT same issue.

I think the maps are wonderful . The contrast is very nice ,you can see you aim on every wall,on every map so good . I am so happy they disable the pattern of the guns ,that was a stupid feature ....

I like so much ....What i dont like are the cheaters ,they are still there ,and sooooo many of them . I think that is the real problem with this game ...

Can soooo much agree with what you are writing. I had so many weird situations in CS2 so far. Aiming on heads and getting no hits, getting killed around the corner. Demos just magically beeing expired even though it was the latest match so I can not even collect evidences.
And why the ♥♥♥♥ is Dust 2 not in prime? This is one of most enjoyed maps and Valve just gives not a flying ♥♥♥♥ about it. I don't want to be forced on any map that is getting voted in a esl kind of match setting. Just gimme the option to play whatever map I want, because this game in this state is not even fun in anyway. A lot of players are already completely frustrated and you feel it, the patience of many is dwindelling.

You can't even report matches or servers where you have the feeling something is wrong. So why call it a public test if no one can give a proper feedback after a test and error or even has an enjoyable match, there is no option for it to rate the gameplay right now..

The statement is not whether it will be good in the end, but that it still needs a lot of optimisation, and I fully agree. The game is still miles away from being an alternative to CS:Go.

i think your thinking wrong. why dont you compare this to csgo beta or the earlier days? also all those things about your rank etc blabla doesnt matter since only a handfull players have acces to cs2 not real veterans and headshot machines like me.
