CS2 Running poorly on 3080ti
Hello, Have tried following every guide on getting this game to run better, To no avail. Looking to see if anyone else has had a similar issue.

Specs: I5-13600k
GPU: Nvidia 3080ti
32gb of ram ddr4
CS2 Is running on a SSD.

When setting the fps to max 400, It still only stays around 165with vertical sync off, When walking through rooms or shooting, It drops 60+fps down to 70-80 before jumping back up. Has made this game really hard to play.

I followed a guide for optimizing the game through the nvidia control panel, Played with nvidia low reflex latency on all options, I cannot do anything to run this game better and not get those 60+ fps drops constantly.

Upgraded Nvidia drivers, Even playing at 4:3 Lower resolution then native and its still running very poorly.

Any help?

I5-13600k might have bottleneck 3080 Ti
The slower processor suits RTX 3060 which is 1/4 performance of 3080 Ti.

3080 Ti is stronger than 3090. It should not be 165 fps but way higher. :erune:

i5-13600K should not be a bottleneck for 3080 Ti. And 3080 Ti is still marginally slower than 3090.

i would completely reinstalled the game and wipe the gpu drivers. i mean you could also benchmark your system to be sure that nothing is wrong with it.

btw how many screens are attached to your gpu? more than 2?

Having more than two monitors connected wouldn't still explain so low fps. Having more than 2 monitors decreases your fps marginally. We are talking about single digits here.

Turn off hyper threading
Also msaa at off or low settings fluctuates more with a higher fps. If u put it on 4x it will be lower but more stable

my setup is i7 8700K and a 3080TI... have you tried to set the driver settings for this game on "maximum performance"? when i left it at "automatic" the graphic card was just on 30-40%....
also: have you set a frame limit in the driver settings?

3080TI 12900K@5.3 Ghz.
1920x1440@360Hz and settings in the game on high.
Between 340 and 440 FPS depending on the map, so it can't be your CPU or GPU.

I have i7-12700k and 3060 and 32gb ram and am steady above 300 with some minor fluctuations and my settings are all maxed out...

You must have a 3090 that is dying or your cpu is dying or maybe your mobo is bottlenecking everything? how fast is your pcie ? is your card too fast for it ?

I dont think its a setting sproblem... its hardware...

i got a founders 3080ti (waterblocked) . 11900K (waterblocked) . 64GB ram . on 1280x960 4:3 i get around 700+fps with high settings with cl_showfps 1 . did you change everything in nvidia control panel for max fps / lower imput latency? did you try changing your power plan in windows to high performance? and set cs2 to high performance windows settings > game > graphics > YOUR 3080ti ?? do you have launch options? that could be messing with cs2 . also try a disk clean up and defragment .

Try checking if you got no stuff running alongside on the background (other programs, software, stream stuff like OBS), all can have an impact on these issues. Also, try checking the energy plan your windows is using, and verify in the CS2 settings if there's a power saving mode enabled.

defragment an ssd. great advise hahahaha
everyone in here seems to overlook the obvious question: what resolution are you playing in?
