Of course not. This is a replacement when the game is fully ready. It would be silly to divert half the player base on to the other game.

No, it wouldn't be an update in that case.

most likely, cuz its not the first time we see valve try to copy these live service ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gimmicks like battlepasses, character skins and ♥♥♥♥ from other games

Battlepass? You mean the yearly operation mission pass?

I highly doubt CS:GO will go away, people refused to switch from 1.6 to source, I'm sure it will also be the case with CS:GO, and seeing as CS:GO is less demanding, people with older computers who can't run CS2 well would be pissed if valve did this, so I doubt it.

Source 2 is a engine port for CS:GO, so once source 2 port is ready then it will replace current source engine.

For people with older computers then tough time... time to upgrade that ancient pc.

It's 2023 why should they add lite mode?

You could build a computer that could handle this game inexpensively.

I've got an i7-4770K and an RTX 2060 and it runs about as well as CS:GO did here, so if you're going to upgrade your machine, go for the GPU first.

When I upgraded from a GTX 780 to an RTX 2060 it was astonishing how much better stuff ran.
