What about a pick server system?
Guys, do you think it would be good if valve puts on cs2 a SERVER PICK SYTEM
"hey what u mean by server pick system??"
its simple, ppl be able to choose, the server they want to play for exemple:
valve has servers in: spain, portugal, russia, netherland, germany, france, england.
so the player would be able to join wherever he wants too, obviously he would pay the price with a bit higher ping, but at least, language barrier would be mitigated

a) VPN requires you to play at least €10 monthly ( i should i pay when valve can implement this function in game, its not hard to do)
b) dont know what it is xD

No, another bad idea.

Will not work, because queue times will be extremely long. And ppl going to choose server with lowest queue times.

it's not a bad idea. i voluntarily queue NA because i'm sick and tired of russians in EU, and ever since my overall match experience has been better (it's still terrible but not as terrible as EU)

lot of VPN are free... cloudflare warp , urban vpn , u can also get free trials with paid vpn with refresh account always
Vault Hunter 101 Aug 27, 2023 @ 1:02am
They tried that in Dota, it didn't work cuz you forget that everyone can pick what they want and bad players aren't limited to one region
Leaves Aug 27, 2023 @ 1:04am
There are several ways to block out Servers, but this depends on your region. If you for example block everything beside EU West, u usually still get matched with EU East Players, like Russians for example, there is no guarantee to "avoid" specific regions. Only way would be to block everything beside NA for example if you are from europe, then you are not very likely to get matched with EU, not West nor East.

Is this another post to complain about russians? :steambored:

Seriously what do you even get out of this? If everyone can choose which server to play with ,you can still find russians anyways becuase they can also choose the server to play with :candywhat:

Nonsense, how can you possibly play with ppl on another continent ? How do you handle the huge latency. You cant be playing good with such high ping.

100ms is extremely easy to handle, you'll get used to it very quickly. I'd argue that everthing below roughly 140-150ms is virtually indistinguishable from low ping in terms of your own performance once you get used to it

do not listen to this guy at all

this is written under the Steam Subscriber Agreement

1) you are not entitled to: (i) sell, grant a security interest in or transfer reproductions of the Content and Services to other parties in any way, nor to rent, lease or license the Content and Services to others without the prior written consent of Valve, except to the extent expressly permitted elsewhere in this Agreement (including any Subscription Terms or Rules of Use); (ii) host or provide matchmaking services for the Content and Services or emulate or redirect the communication protocols used by Valve in any network feature of the Content and Services, through protocol emulation, tunneling, modifying or adding components to the Content and Services, use of a utility program or any other techniques now known or hereafter developed, for any purpose including, but not limited to network play over the Internet, network play utilizing commercial or non-commercial gaming networks or as part of content aggregation networks, websites or services, without the prior written consent of Valve; or (iii) exploit the Content and Services or any of its parts for any commercial purpose, except as expressly permitted elsewhere in this Agreement (including any Subscription Terms or Rules of Use).

-----------------------------------------------

using VPN violates what i wrote above.

Steam Route Tool is also similar to VPN as well.

not only that, Steam Route Tool and VPN can cause VAC Error in CS:GO.

p.s do not listen to anyone who is from China, they are not giving any proper advice at all.
