you are better off not using 3rd party sites with this game altogether and just sticking with the market.

Yes, its been reported in recent cases after steam's TOS update that some users have been for giving gambling sites and 3rd party trading sites APIkey access. However, 3rd party trading sites are generally safe and steam has reversed a few of the wrongful trade bans (although it takes some time). Gambling sites are just a no-no for sure.
