Ultrawide (G9) issues on CS2
Hi.

I have an ultrawide screen (samsung odyssey g9), and on CSGO I play on 16:9 resolution, when I open CSGO the screen automatically goes into 16:9 aspect ratio with black bars.

The monitor's aspect ratio is set to "AUTO" in its settings.

When I open CS2 with 16:9 resolution, the monitor doesn't automatically go to 16:9 resolution and instead just stretches the game to ultrawide even though the game is set to a 16:9 res. I have to manually go into the monitor's settings to set it to a 16:9 aspect ratio instead of auto.

Any tips on how I can make it do this automatically like it happens on CSGO? Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks.

HOW FIX THIS I CAN'T PLAYYY
Right click desktop -> Display Settings -> Change the resolution there (1920x1080) -> Launch game
changing the aspect ratio ingame to something else and then back to 16:9 fixed it for me. did have to apply 240hz after that too

Not the answer you need, but wouldn't it be easier to play on 32:9 but put your hud in the middle like a 16:9? Exactly the way I'm playing without any black bars

This did it for me, bit annoying I have to change the actual pc monitor resolution but gets around the issue with cs2 not dynamically altering resolution in game, thanks bud
What worked for me was changing going to the Nvidia Control Panel > 'Adjust desktop size and position', and change the scaling mode to 'No scaling', and 'Perform Scaling on' 'GPU'. Then go into the game, swap the resolution to anything else, then back to desired resolution.

This totally works for me.

That works for me, although in my case it is not necessary to set 'Perform Scaling on' 'GPU', just setting 'No scaling' works for me.

changing resolution is not the same as changing ration
