So is the new CS a updated source engine or just some "upgrades" of the current engine? And is ti any good?
Despite playing CS forever, I didn't get invited to test the new one. How are people liking it? Any of the new changes going to alter how the game is played? I gave up on CSGO about two years ago because I finally got bored. I really hope this new version gets me back into it again.

Its a whole new engine. Much much more modern compared to source 1. But %99 of the changes are visual so dont expect any new gameplay features other than smoke change.

whole new engine .New Anti cheat (Ai -anti cheat) New server tick rate more accurate,more colourfull map or bright, New Ui and much more.Im come back to csgo after there announce
the new engine and new Ai anti cheat hope it will make great cs again.

Valve never announced anything about anti cheat.

CSGO uses upgraded Source engine.
CS2 uses Source 2 engine.

Technically CS2 is a new game.
Like CS:Source after CS 1.6, but with ported resources from CS 1.6
