Edit: and for me thats cheating. Because you use something to get an unfair advantage over someone else
Banks has multi accounts system they won't call you a theft.
Artist use multi accounts as normally too.
Having more than one account does not mean you are bad guy.
Smurfing is creating a fresh account with the intent to play against new/low skilled players. There is nothing wrong with Having a multiple accounts if you aren't doing so with ill intent.
What if his old account get banned/ low trust factor?
What if he wants to play with his gf but don't want use his main account because it will affect his status?
What if he wants more case drop?
Also what is "ill" ? If he was really good he will rank up faster (if he gets more win rounds).
Banned account -> shouldnt be able to play csgo/cs2 ever again
unranked mode.
the good old "i want to paly with my friends, that why iam smurfing"
as i said, people defend and love smurfing.
so they have this need to hit lowers one...
Lowers humans...
Not to mention rank decay is a thing and you can end up in lower ranks just from being too busy with life. Also what happens to people that already have multiple accounts? Do they get fathered in or do they get banned on all of their accounts except one?
Also it's not cheating no matter how we spin it. Smurfing is smurfing with all what comes with it. It is something else than griefing or cheating. All have clear indications and explanations and all require a player to do very specific thikgs to fall under that term.
That doesn't mean that a smurf can't also be a griefer. If he got to said lower rank with the help of griefing, he simply is both.
If someone intentionally deranks by throwing games it's griefing, if he then starts cheating innway lower games he is also smurfing and cheating and he does all three things.
I'm technically also a smurf. Using only one acc 99% of the time but only beeing DMG currently. That beeing said, I don't derank on purpose. Thus not a smurf. Not my fault that personal performance and other silly systems like ranking decay are not set correctly to group player on equal skill.
I get that some of you want to just chill and not play serious sometimes, but it just makes it ♥♥♥♥ for lower ranked players.
I'm not against having multiple accounts as I have multiple accounts, but have them for decent reasons like increasing your case drops or giving you more chance to get something good in the operations. Don't have multiple accounts just to ♥♥♥♥ on the lesser players and boost your ego, it's cringe.
The thing is, I am also trying to learn my gf play cs as she wants to join me and my friends since we're only playing for fun and that works great as long as we are a full lobby, we are all way past the point where we care about our ranks blabla. Ive been playing this game since release date.
But she does constantly get kicked by people in the lower ranks which do and do not smurf because she is obv very bad since shes a new player who doesnt know the calls, places, spray control, nades etc etc. I dont even understand why as you dont really get any advantages anymore since they removed the possibility to control bots.
New players to this game do not really get a chance to learn it; as many people in the lower ranks already knows how to call, where to aim, economy etcetc and are too obsessed with reaching new ranks which they struggle with due all the smurfers.
So the way I "smurf" is to let my teammates do their thing and not go bat sh%t crazy as most smurfers like to do just so I can prevent her getting kicked and try to learn her the calls etc. Without this she would use sooooo much time to even get the chance to get to learn this game which probably would resulted in her stop playing the game..
