Help! Sold a skin but the funds are pending???

I sold a skin and I'm supposed to get $7.40.

But the funds are pending and not in my wallet balance. What is this about?

It says a purchase I made has been refunded and I'll get the funds in 24 hours.

I did not refund. I sold an item for steam wallet.

its apparently to stop scammers, if something is sold thats higher or lower than the current price on the market it will get held for 24 hours. i have no clue why they did it this way tbh as it fluctuates all the time.

this is dumb, my friend sold his $350 bucks, and its pending, why tf steam did this. and i sold my 10 cents skins, it also got pending, bro 10 cents 10 CENTS ass steam

The update didn't do anything to stop scammers and is now just infuriating. Thank you Steam for not thinking anything through and continuing to make my steam experience excruciating .

not trying to necro but as of today it's still happening as well. I thought the point of steam guard and all of the 2factor was so that we could instantly sell our things on market and such. Why have those systems in place then add this to the market ):

it's more than a few bucks, the other day i had 120 dollars or something* pending fam. I enabled 2fa as as steam guard to avoid these kind of walls.

There are many reasons. For example, you sell a skin on cs, and you're trying to buy a better skin or something, if you're selling stuff to get good floats/patterns on skins and knives, having those funds as soon as you sell make the difference between getting good items or not
