People are scamming live on twitch these days

So this scam seems pretty elaboate...

I was just minding my own bussiness and enlisted myself in csgos looking to play feature, which i use on a daily basis.

And some streamer invited me.. Cool i thought.
they went through the normal stuff with no swearing on stream, even asked me if i was warmed up etc.

they send me a link to the stream and a chat full of substanceless comments appeared adjacent to the stream window 500 viewers, impressive for a main menu stream, with messages like "wow cool smoke", "ggs" and "meow".

so they wanted to play a "steamer party vs streamer party"-match and the server required a steam login, (Steam API Scam).

open up the stream and see people getting scammed in real-time.

i had the commen sense not to trust these folks but i see why it could be easy falling for this type of scam.

remember to never trust anyone telling u to click links and always practice critical thinking.

This is not incredibly rare these days. Seen a variety of youtube channels streaming CSGO stuff in the same way, it's pre-recorded clips of some crap. Ironically enough the last example I've seen of this had nothing but plants vs zombies videos on it other than the stream...
