On medium-to-long range, M4A4 is better.
This is of course assuming that you can control the recoil and ammo conservation. If you struggle with recoil, M4A1-S is easier to use. If you struggle with ammo conservation, M4A4 is a better choice.
if you really like playing aggressively use m4a4
if you play like a normal person pick a1
but this wont be an issue in cs2 lol
Because you will be able to set your own loadout of 5 rifles to buy, with the option to buy either M4.
In practical terms, most players will probably set: FAMAS, both M4s, Scout, and AWP.
