personally, id be fine with 1.6 graphics if they just got rid of cheaters... but hey. I'm happy with what I see so far
Also source 2 is mainly a background update with some front end changes, the front end is obvious with smokes and new lighting however the back end is stuff like moving to DX11 and a more modular system so development of things such as operations will be easier(and possibly more frequent).
The classic source engine CSGO runs on is showing its age and while they've patched it plenty of time to help with new lighting and optimization it is an engine going back to 2004. DX9 is what CSGO runs on and its not a new standard(and not even the one that source shipped with originally), Intel is dropping native support for it in some of their integrated CPU's instead choosing to software translate it and in my experience proton on the steam deck runs better translating DX11.
CS2 does change some of the physics and can require new strategies in maps so hold off on judging it until you've played it.
I THINK THE SAME
