Lighting in real life isn't all dark and gloomy like you think it is. not my fault you live in either Great Britain or the middle of nowhere in Siberia

Its not that bright, colors are just more vibrant. Most of the modern games have similar look

Too cartoonish? History repeats itself, because they said the same thing about Counter-Strike Source when it was released.

YES! I remember people saying exactly that and at the time, I thought Source looked absolutely incredible instead of the dungeon-look in CS. LoL people just need to embrace that if a game is 10+ years old, you just need to naturally upgrade engines, lighting, and dynamics. It's time this happened, CS:GO is outdated.

Bright and cartoonish are two different things. CS is brighter, but it's light-years from being cartoonish.
You probably don't even have a clue of what you're talking about.

Honestly I always gravitated towards the more brighter maps, some of them in this game just look straight grim and dirty. The visual clarity is fantastic, I hated the cluttered feel to this game compared to the prior versions but this actually fixes it.
