Valve has the data of which system Steam users have and it's common sense that the testing process of CS2 is for Windows users only.

At the moment, there's no release date for Linux so you just have to wait.

tho theres both a mac and a linux branch thats being actively updated as well so im p sure its being developed together with the other versions

It seems odd they wouldn't beta test on steamOS. Why not involve Deck users in these betas?

Probably just the start of the limited test is for getting feedback from the pros and kinda general users about the gameplay and bug fixes, etc. Not necessarily about performance for every rig or full compatibility for every OS. They'll maybe do it in the later stages of the limited test or when the game is actually released.

A few takes just from me popping in a few months after this post was active. First, given the latest gui refresh, the game isnt marketed twords deck players, so no real reason to bring it natively. Second. Given how good proton has been I assume they will just have linux use that, I personally dont see an issue as other competitive games that I personally play with proton work just fine. And third, with how little amount of people are in the beta no reason to have the port available. Cheers to you all!

How does a gui update imply the game won't be good on steam deck? Is it aiming for super hi res desktop screens?
