CSGO Key bind reset HELP!
So I was resetting keybinds on CS2 and went to enable my console. Unfortunately I double clicked on the console key bind thus binding my mouse 1 button to console which is still not enabled...... so now I can't click on any of the menus or binds to reset them. Is there away to reset the files manually through the cfg files? help pleaaassseee!!!!!!!!!

I FIXED IT!!!

from your Local Disk c: type in CS2 in the search bar.

find any and all files named cs2_user_keys .

for all the slots that may be there replace Mouse1 with "+attack" and save

do it for all of them just to be on the safe side.

restart CSGO to launch CS2 and it solved my problem

hope this helps <3

That sounds like something the devs need to address. You can apparently email them bugs for them to fix and I would consider this one a problem. Alternatively, you can maybe try Verify Files which will hopefully restore the values to default. My settings don't get wiped in CSGO when I verify files but maybe they have designed it that way for the beta testing. Not sure what is being used to store settings and keybinds (only spent a few minutes searching) but at first glance it appears they are doing something different and not using the traditional .cfg extension.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

There is a folder u need to edit..and erase the config u made....program files x86..steam.user data..the last acc used folder look by date..local.cfg.should be some folders named cs2_user_keys_0_slot 0 1 2 3 etc...check them and edit where u find the bind..ckear it.and save .when u launch the game will ask for local settings or cloud choose local settings

You could do all that, or just use this simple comand in the console.

Bind "mouse1" "+attack"

just copy paste it in to the console and than you will be able to use your mouse like normal again

thx to this guy

I just had this problem and fixed it. You have to go here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*your ID*\730\local\cfg

In there go into every "cs2_user_keys_0_slot*any*.vcfg", there it should say this for example:

"config"
{
"bindings"
{
"`" "<unbound>"
"MOUSE1" "toggleconsole"
}
}

Just edit it so it looks this way:

"config"
{
"bindings"
{
"`" "<unbound>"
"MOUSE1" "attack"
}
}

After you did that to every file of them (some look diffrent and it just says
"config"
{
}
in them, ignore those) start cs2. Steam should ask you about whether you want to use the cloud save or the local save. Choose the local save, after you've started up cs2 everything should work again. Hope this helps.
