Yeah, hopefully... a new VAC system in CS2 would definitely be amazing or if they would just ban hardwares and accounts (both) instead of just banning the account because its easy to create a new account and still cheat so banning both hardware and acc would make it harder for cheaters to cheat

anti cheat and game engines are completely different things. there wont be a new anti cheat

Yes i get your point but still, a new engine will provide more updates to the game so having a new vac system might be possible cuz who knows

It only makes sense for Valve to also update/rebrand VAC into VAC 2.0 or something that is even more aggressive and gets the job done. Cheating is easily the No. 1 biggest problem in CS:GO so it would make sense for them to address that too besides making the game look nicer and play better.

Exactly, I mean, they didn't announce it now but I'm sure they will right before CS2 drops. No way they usher in a new era of Counter-Strike without addressing the biggest elephant in the room with the rampant cheating in CS:GO. They're not bringing that mess into CS2, that's for sure.
