Is this a joke?
Now in cs 2 there will be a maximum of 24 rounds in matchmaking! Is this for fun or something?

We used to have mr12 in the old days and it was changed because you had to eco twice when losing the pistolround(in 1.6). More rounds stretched the issue and the pistolround had less impact. Now it's not necessary anymore.

It is interesting how many young people think cs copies valorant while cs had those systems decades ago. CS back then had mr12 for years in the early 2000's.

yes but they also had 3 minute long rounds and didn't have a comeback economy system

Yeah that suck, they want less round to make games shorter and make people play a lot, they only want one thing, consumption

Yup. Back then they balanced it out with more rounds. Comeback economy system is a much better system but back then maybe not even possible to programm in the game.

Either way. 12 rounds are way more attractive and the perfect balanced between long and short matches.

My only criticism from a competitive stand point is how they plan to change the current economy system or if they choose to at all. Some games on how the economy currently works. You can get bomb plant lose pistol, force next lose that, eco again, then you have your first full buy. If you then loose that first full but you're on eco again. By then you're 0-5 before you've even had a second chance with rifles and utility as the maps are made to be played with util and rifles. Which is half of the round gone then pretty much due to losing pistol and first gun round.

If the economy doesn't change and the MR12 does get added (as right now it's not official). In competitive play I'm sure we are gonna see a lot more 13-0, 13-1, 13-2 etc. games.

It's just info dataminers found by checking data that should be hidden to general public. Seems to be legit.

IMO $1400 should be removed and the first loss bonus should be $2400 so they can eco and get a $2900 bonus and we have a full buy on 3rd round. The CT side will be too unbalanced if we keep full buys at 4th round and saving 1900 + 2400 is pretty much useless (or we might see people using the A1-S even more often and less people using the M4, AWP, AUG and Kreig)...

Hm you think so? I watch a lot of pro matches and play a lot myself and when the Ts lose the round buy have a bomb plant they can basically full buy into the second round with galil/mac10 and full util. If they lose the round they have 2050 dollar, can eco (or buy p250) and full buy in the third round or can even force buy mac10 with headarmor or tec9/deagle with headarmor and util. Either way they have good chances to win that round and statistically speaking the force buy teams win very often.

On CT side you basically make one full eco and then have a full buy.

So neither on pro level nor on our level do teams struggle with money.

In CS1.6 when you lost the pistolround you HAD to full eco twice. You could consider buying a deagle with maybe 7 bullets in reserve in one of those eco rounds but not more.

The pistolround has a argueable high impact in mr8/short matches, I agree. But in mr12 this wouldn't matter at all.

I mean there are also discussion if pistolrounds should be removed entirely and when zhe game starts everyone has x amount of money (like 5k), basically how overtime currently works. But I think pistolround is just a big part of CS and makes it really interesting.

I took the information from "Gabe Follower", he released a video about this update. And he showed that now, instead of the maximum 30 rounds, there are 24 round.

CS Never had this! It was the Ruleset of some Leagues (ELeague).
And there is more then just the Pistol Round Stuff to it, why the Game went to MR15.
Btw, because of a Bug back in the days it was MR12.

MR12 is trash.
