Counter-Strike 2

İstatistiklere Bak:
This game has horrible maps and zero rotation of maps.
Compared to any other game Ive played since 2001, this game has the worst maps and mapping philosophy.

We almost never get new maps. The re-skins and reworks of maps (like cobble) are often times just straight worse than the map they used to be.

And when the community gifts us BRILLIANT maps that are 3x better than these average 2/10 quality valve maps, they get deleted.. all so we can play CANALS for 7 years over.

The vast majority of the maps in this game are trash.

This game has so much potential but this is the biggest flaw I see with CSGO.

10/10 Mechanics.

0/10 Maps.

IMO there is only 1 truly god tier map: Nuke. The rest are just mediocre to terrible.

Why do we not get rotating maps?

Why do they delete the amazing maps the community gives us?

Why are maps like CANALS still even in the game *AT ALL*?

Pretty frustrating to see all this mechanical potential essentially thrown into the dumpster so we can play some 7 year old garbage map (canals) that hasnt be updated or touched in what.. 6 years? Lmao.

I honestly dont see this changing any time soon and its very depressing.

I remember seeing Season back when it was added to the game and being surprised that CS:GO could look that good.
It looked great, I agree. But the most important thing is that the community accepts it and it is playable on a high competitive level.

In CS2 basically all maps look great btw.

More new maps is higher skill gap. This is common sense.

Skill ceiling isnt even the term lmao.

Tic tac toe has skill ceiling. Csg9 has skill gap
No it's not. Any competitive sports game uses the same baseline to play. F1 for example has the same track. Football teams the same stadiums and same pitch (how big it is, how big goals are, where the markings are etc.) for a good reason.

Im not new, nor am i bad.
You only have roughly 300 comp wins and are silver, so you're both.

As someone who is into competitive sports and esports in three different games since more than 30 years reading your comments and your wrong thought process hurts.

You are a casual player. And casual player want variety. That is normal. But CS is a competitive eSports game and in competitive sport casual mindsets are counter intuitive and productive.

So in year 2034 you want cs to play on mirage? Lol
People already played on mirage 20 years ago and loved it. People still play mirage and love it. Same about d2 and other maps.

Again, your mindset is from the point of view of a casual. Your perception of what a game needs varies a lot from what the game really needs.

Maybe really play CoD.
You understand theres a lot of FPS games, more than just CSGO; and many of them have rotating maps or a large map pool. Not just.. 6 maps played for 20 years, right?

Being able to adapt to new maps is already a huge part of skill gap. Why do you think they added ancient? And Anubis?

At some point any map played millions of times gets stagnant / boring. For the viewer and the player. Thats the point. IMO the maps in CSGO are very underwhelming compared to the maps in other fps games, both in the timing of map releases, and quality. Its fine if you disagree, or think its about consistency for players but I see it the opposite.

Also I have never considered myself a 'casual' player. Im always a tryhard, often the one carrying my team. Am I playing consistently in competitions / comp? No. But any game I play I learn and try to be amazing at; or I wouldnt want to play it.

Huh. It's almost like CS:GO didn't have only 6 maps played for 20 years nonstop with no changes...

Comparatively we almost never release / actually use new maps. For comp playlists and casual.

Some maps are just old, outdated, and stagnant a f.

Many maps have glaring map design issues that seem like rookie mistakes. Like on cobble when u have to literally fall through a hole in the ground, or climb with a series of 4 jumps. Anyone with any mapping experience knows this type of shxt is about the last thing you want in a map you want people to 'enjoy' playing. Doesnt feel good derpin around stacks of bricks you have to climb, nor does it feel good falling (because you have to) into someone who just happens to peek while you fall, etc.

I dont play valorant but I bet you anything they have a much more healthy rotation of maps / map philosophy.
