CS2 stuck at 60hz with 200+ fps

I have a 240hz monitor and apparently 200+ fps in game (according to cl_showfps 1) but i can clearly tell the game is at 60hz,
Im playing on fullscreen with the 239hz option enabled in settings and ive done just about everything i could think of to make any difference by resetting my GPU and installing new drivers.
Any other game i play including csgo does not have this problem.
Is this the game fault or am i just tweakin??

I have the same problem, really bad micro-stuttering, seems like you're playing at 60hz or worse.

in then settings menu the only option under refresh rate is 60Hz even though I'm plying on a 144Hz monitor

can u set 1920 1080p in fullscreen mode? i can put that 1920 1080 only in window mode! can u please check it? also i have the same problem with hz! only 59hz option to choose!

I don't know if this is the case for you, but my monitor, if I open a game in full screen at a resolution lower than its native one, it automatically locks the hz at 60

This actually worked for me. I was seeing 239 hz for some reason..

pretty old post but to the folks that are still trying to find the solution, what worked for me is (only for nvidia cards):
open nvidia control panel
go to adjust desktop size and position
choose the monitor u run cs2 on
choose scaling
then perform scaling on: GPU
