thats like the biggest difference... on valorant you smoke site and entry? people just stop and wait for all your util to disappear. cs its GO GO GO
Even if the entry player is killed, you know from where.
And also buy and use nades.
Use utility to enable team mates and yourself to enter site.
Its not rocket science, its CSGO.
We lost about 99.9% of the time. It was not competitive games, but still defusal objective. It was fun to try to see if it worked
Now I lead the charge / my role on T is to entry frag, or lurk and try to entry if team is struggling to open on other area of map.
Don't be afraid to rush on T. That's what you'll need to do to win. Entry fraggers have the lowest k/d, but it's a good role to play to get really good at the game. I have played only 5 faceit matches since 2017 (all this year) and I increased my k/d by 0.10 and three of those five matches were losses. That's actually a huge increase given the losses and more skilled opponents
Tips for entry frag:
-Keep gun out and at reasonable height (head level then adjust as you get to corners in case of peeks)
-be ready for peeks
-practice throwing flashes for your team (ex: nuke going ramp, bank a flash off the wall to the left of entryway in trophy. It will not blind your team). You can also dry entry with no flashes or util if you want
-practice 'antiflash', aka dodging the flashes the enemy might throw
-Make sure to be aggressive in your push but don't hold w when in sight of enemy, and make sure your teammates have space to take duels without doing team damage
-Don't reload until you have to. Switch to secondary...never know how many players the other team has nearby
-once you have sufficient control of the space you should use some util to deny cts access to the space
-download the "prefire" maps on the community workshop to learn which angles you need to clear first. Default bot difficulty they won't shoot you, but for instance the prefire workshop map for mirage, you should try for 3 minutes to clear all angles with bots on 'nightmare' difficulty.
Hope this helps! I would practice counterstrafing, tracking, crosshair placement, and just positioning for this role. There are workshop maps you can practice on that have bots who will strafe for you, practice with the different guns, and then move on to deathmatch. You'll improve fast trust me
