CS2 Sucks

Despite the flashy new graphics, utility mechanics, and gun designs, CS2 kinda sucks. It seems like Valve has wholly removed the CSGO feel from CS2. I know it's in beta but if they released this game now it would flop and I believe that it would even force some former die-hard Counter-Strike players to step away from the game. It feels way too much like Valorant, excluding the cringe cartoon characters and abilities, the gunfight feeling that CS2 gives you is a much smoother one and less of an uneasy or chaotic feeling, which makes you want to learn how to control that chaos better and hone your skills. Generally, you would think that making the game smoother is a good thing, but that rough chaotic feeling is what made CSGO so thrilling and difficult which in turn made it very fun to play. The learning curve and improvement in rank along with one's skill is something that has kept me coming back to Counter-Strike for years and if Valve isn't careful they could ruin that aspect of the game. If they remove that uneasy chaotic feeling when in a gunfight in CS2 then I would prefer that Valve doesn't release CS2 at all, and instead they just update current Counter Strike's graphics, anti-cheat, and improve some mechanics.

i literally have no idea what youre talking about and couldnt disagree more;...... idk if youre playing the same game as me lol
idk if its running subtik or client side but its still being tweaked, each patch feels better than the last and theyre taking just about all the feedback well, except turning on bot control in casual lol

CS:GO, just like every iteration before it, all is part of an era. Over time, things get old, boring, and need change. That's where we are at with CS:GO as it's been YEARS overdo to make the next new Counter-Strike. I love what I've been seeing with the beta and even though I haven't played it, I'm excited to see what this will be like when it fully launches. We can't play CS:GO forever as it's time to move onto the next big CS game and see how it develops over time.

I also remember when CS:GO first came out and people kept complaining that it would never be better or as popular as CS:S and well, look at what happened there.

The movement mechanics are more clunky and the recoil control is less challenging and feels more like valorant.

Yeah but the things that have made CSGO a great game seem to be non-evident in CS2. I've been playing the beta since the Mirage update and it's become more obvious that with each update they're trying to make CS more like Valorant, in movement and gunplay. It's made the game quite boring, and all I'm saying is that they should keep the things that made CSGO great and make some adjustments and updates to refresh the game, rather than completely reinventing the wheel and displacing a large portion of their loyal player base who genuinely dislike Valorant.

I see and thanks for your insight! I dunno, I played VALORANT on/off over the years and it's not a terrible game. It's basically Overwatch meets CS:GO but I'll always prefer Counter-Strike but at least this is the beta and hopefully, the final product on launch date will resemble what we all want. At least I hope so since August is already here and they did said by the end of summer CS2 will be launched so time is ticking to hammer these things out.

Yeah well, we all have different perspectives. I personally don't enjoy the clunky movement in CS2 and the gunplay is missing the element of chaos that it has in CSGO, it feels too smooth and less challenging to control recoil. This in turn makes me feel like they're adapting to trends with other games such as Valorant rather than sticking to what made CSGO such a legendary game in the first place and makes me think that if they released CS2 the way it is, it would flop a few months after it dropped.

You're very welcome and thanks! Same here and I'm confident they'll get it right by launch and over time. I fully expect CS2 to not be perfect or still need a lot of work but it is a very exciting time. I've been playing CS for over 20 years now and I feel like a teenager again anxiously awaiting for this new Counter-Strike game to pour a lot of time and joy in :-)

Many users wanted some sort of new features (e.g. source2, 128tick,...) and VALVE tries to deserve it. Yeah I know subless ticks is not the same as 128tick servers from FaceIT but atleast they try to put some own effort into it and make this game "their own" compared to games like Overwatch 2, Valorant,...

Most people can only judge by looking streamers who play CS2 and nothing more. Just wait till release and judge then. Until this game has not been released so far, people should not judge about it, makes it easy doesnt it?
Start complaining about a game when its "finished" and the playerbase starts playing it.
