Prime, still worth it for case drops?

I was thinking of buying prime to possibly get my money back through selling case drops.

It seems like valve changed the drop rates or how they drop, and now they're tied to level ups?

I don't want to have to level up, but if I can still just play a few times a week to get 1 random case, that's doable.

I've tried searching for it, but it's a mess, if you could help me please.

Drop system changed, when you level up you get a case, it can happen once per week.

Look, every Wednesday csgo drops and exp boosts update, so basically you can just enter the game on Wednesday and play a few matches just to level up, takes about 4-5 matches, if you do enough kills, and you get the case and some cheap skin/graffiti. So you can ideally just play the game once a week and get a case. You can only get a case once a week though

Does the game show me when the drop is available, or is it a server reset on Wednesday for everybody?

Is that level my rank, so when I can't improve I will stop getting cases?

You need 5000xp to rankup

Hovering your xp progress bar ingame will show you that info.
"Get an item drop next time you rank up"

If you dont have this msg then wait for the next week.

Drops reset on wednesdays (2:00 gmt+1)
