great at death match terrible at casual/competitive

i'm good at deathmatch, easily getting top 3 and often number 1, but the moment i try casual or competitive i suck. i get kicked from matches for being so bad, even though i am trying.

any advice?

Similar boat here, although not completely hopeless at comp but way better at dm than comp.Casual here im not so bad and after a few comp runs casual feels so easy.Especially early morning.

Playing too much with bots even expert bots in competition on cs2( i forget if bots are available in comp cs go,) but too many bot games can ruin game sense imo.
That is, bots usually dont split up as ct and dont do splitting up as t's..or even as far as i can tell dont seem to pay attention to sounds as much as real players.
I play with bots a lot (especially cs2)and can tell you for a fact -playing too many bot matches will derank you fast next time you play good players.

A few tips you may know-

1-learn utilites, not used in DM,mostly smokes and flashes mainly for a few maps, other nades, mollys and decoys are also helpful in situations but are not used in DM but needed in competition.

2-Watch players such as war owls or Elige youtube vids, twitch players such as freakazoid,many others i like to watch "scouter cs" personally as scout is a cheap sniper to buy and very fast paced and fun. i may bottom frag more often with scout but its so fun and can be afforded from second round onwards often, even if multi round lose streak in casual, you can always afford a p250 or tec 9 or deagle, flash or smoke and scout.
I believe getting consistent with a scout will make it so easy when jumping to an AWP, but more so with scar -20 etc. dak daks are piss easy to run around with and get no scopes or one or two tap headshots once you are consistent with a scout.

3- if not into sniper rifles smg's, or shotguns are great short range to medium range. MP7's can even be used on dust 2 from pit to a site if one or two tap, like my brother who mostly uses smg's.
Shotguns have spread of a shell so will at least damage people even if slightly off target at short range.

4- the deagle is rated as 4 stars in highest difficulty range but deagle imo can be used in save rounds/eco rounds and often easy to get multi kills. Long range probably the best pistol but listen to the song "staying alive" bu beegees and the rhythm of that song is the pace you shoot for high accuracy.
If not deagle tec9 or p250 too, all great choices but p250 low ammo amount.

5-Counter strafe and peeks, with accuracy- deagle and many other guns are accurate when standing still, but you can make the game and pc think you are standing still by strafing- a,a,a then quickly d while shooting at exactly the same time you first press "d" then ddd to hide again if needed.
Dont peek too far out in the open as you probably know from DM matches.

6-Peeking speed and velocity- peeking such as mirage "connector" stairs into mid will be fast velocity if you have some strafe distance before the peek. Peeking a short distance is slower with most guns besides scout and pistols.

7-if you dont know callouts look up google images of callouts for each map. Pretty easy to download and look at or even print for each map before you play, have map besides PC. DM matches probably taught you callouts though.

8-look up youtube tip videos.

9-im not giving any more tips..I find this game hard enough without giving too many tips to strangers i may play against.

one last tip- sometimes in casual the vote kick player is just a warning from dead team mates you are on the wrong bomb site as its an easy way to let team mates know where enemies are, as in casual you can see all players when dead but can not chat to alive players.
Also sometimes you may get kicked just because somebody wants to play with their friends and lobby is full.
