be dumb not to with the money all csgo skins are worth nowadays
Aight so a question to everyone about source 2 coming to csgo. I was thinking hypothetically of all the rumors about csgo update to invest in more csgo skins for this reasons but do you guys think otherwise or will skins go down in value bc bad update?
1. New type of graphics to the game which will make the skins to look better. And if the skins look better the skins go up in value.
2. This is the biggest csgo update since csgo came out which will attract more new players and also old OG players to the game. And if more people starts to play cs, then more people would want skins and makes a higher demand on them.
Will valve make so you lose value and cant play with your skins?
No, at this moment the csgo economy is worth 2 billion dollars and has all time highest player base since csgo came out. And if they made a whole new csgo economy (only new skins) they would lose players because of their skins which valve doesn’t want to. They only want to get their player base even higher. they would also need to start from a 0 dollar economy which will never be as high as it is now. Because it has taken 15-16 years to get to where the csgo economy is today. And they make to much money on it for it by doing nothing which would not make sense if they destroyed their own economy worth 2 billion dollars.
The only thing that COULD happen is that the update is so bad that it backfires and people that have been playing and are used to csgo don’t want to play and starts to quick selling their skins wich would make the skins go down in value for some time. And it could go the other way around and attract more people to the game which would make the skins go up in value as I mentioned earlier.
So investment vise is 50/50. But that your skins wouldn’t be “transferred” or “playable” is 0% if they dont want the kill the game totally.
