Cs Go 140 fps with ryzen 5 2600 and rx 580 on low settings 1240 resolution
So i have Rx 580, Ryzen 5 2600, 3000Mhz Ram - Bad Performance and my fps long time ago on CS GO was 250-300, now its not going above 150 it goes down to 100, also with the Riot Games too League of Legends and Valorant. LOL is really low game and i barely reach 120 fps. I have tried many things (BIOS Update, Windows Update, Graphic Drivers Update, Reinstall Windows, Enabling XMP to 2933 from 2336, Game Mode ON/OFF, Multirendering ON/OFF, SMT ON/OFF, Graphic Card is on the top of the slot, Temps are good, Graphic Settings - Games are added on, I changed from Windows 11 to Windows 10, Changed the game location from HDD to SSD, I have used DDU on the graphic card drivers and installed them from the start. Other thing is that if i change the resolution from high to low it has 0 impacts, the FPS stays the same.

Wait for Source 2 update. This update is for modern hardware support.
My fps was 500-600 and now it's dropped to 250-300.

The wierd thing is that i have bad fps in other games too, like Valorant and League of Legends.

I think the update is not the problem

I have R5 2600 with RX580 as well, and I don't have any problems running games. CSGO is all over, from 250 - 400 fps. League runs pretty much locked at 120fps. Don't know about Valorant, haven't played it for a long time.

I have CPU at stock settings, boosting to 3775MHz all core in CSGO. And my RX580 is Sapphire Nitro+ undervolted to 1070mV with stock GPU: 1411MHz MEM: 2000MHz.

And with 32GB 3200MHz HyperX memory.

I can only tell you that I haven't updated my Windows for like a year now, and also using GPU drivers released on april of 2022.

Mostly running my games on 1080p low settings with 2x AA.

check temps, likely overheating. any mid-range GPU from the last 6 years will be enough for the game. also try setting the cvar "mat_queue_mode" to "2" in console, as CS still doesn't properly set multi-threading from the graphics setting you select.

Check launch options + configs, fps_max is at 120??

Reinstall steam/cs/configs?

Try to make alt account to check if the fps is higher (usually is on another acc)

He said hes got the issue in other games, so CSGO isnt the problem.

Yeh defo your PC then. Did you check temp on your CPU? Also would be useful if you check CPU on task manager (go performance>CPU and check 'show logical processors' on right mouse button menu). When you play the game, is once CPU maxed?

Interesting find. If resolution has no impact, then thats an indicator your GPU performance isnt the culprit. Did you check that you dont have vsync forced in the GPU driver, that could limit fps to 120?
