Aner at some point it may happen and then they will say "see? I told ya! I was right!" while they basically say "we will get it soon!" for 8 years.
All this hopium and hype is annoying and repetitive. When we get it, we get it, when we get information, we get information. Before that I wouldn't invest time into that like many do.
Well what valve is doing is technically defrauding investors in their marketplace while letting wild rumors like these ignite. It costs literally the price of the salary of their spokesperson to address rumors and timelines or any concerns. ♥♥♥♥ I’m sure Gaben himself is mentally fit enough to even write a paragraph.
Since there is money involved in skins and loot boxes opinions or your stance aside this gabenfollower guy should be held liable for these “leaks”. From the way he acts on Twitter as a pretend code expert im understanding of why valve wouldn’t want to acknowledge his existence. Writing an engine and porting is no easy task.
I’m sure there’s a source 2 in the works also not denying it’s existence but as a Dev myself. I can only imagine they play with the code like how we play with the games. Game development is typically throwing mud at a wall and hoping the idea works and can come to fruition. I’m sure Valve has a few hundred gigabytes depending on their workflow/process of versions of counter strike with slightly different principles. Kinda like that update that made the SSG an auto.
All what valve really did was change their background on twitter and everyone is going crazy. ^^
To the gabefollower guy: I think it is half attention half usefull. Yes he datamines and informs people about it but that is basically it. All other big games (as said like WoW and GTA) also have such people. For WoW there is even a whole website called wowhead.
I would just take it as an objective information but put no emotion into it.
From valves side: Toying with the community, especially when the community react like the csgo community, is a clever thing to do to gain attention. Of course they earn a ton of money via skins but they will stay in case a new engine port or game is released. It doesn't hurt anyone - even better: More money means higher quality of the game. Maybe s2 will be incredible - thanks to the money made with case openings and steam market sells.
If there's anything I think a new DLC soon will be the more likely outcome.
It will happen!
Valve isn't responsible for rumors nor are they legally obligated to shut them down.
The Twitter user has had a slow year in views, impressions and overall sub counts not growing on his social platforms and every year, he posts something to get people talking about it. His social blade is pretty telling how much he cares about the click bait.
Right Elon musk isn’t in hot water with the FTC for rumors. You’re probably not from the USA but if you take part in rumors that affect peoples pockets it is illegal.
Again we are talking about a company who makes 2-7m a day off cases that can’t check the artist upload history.
You'd be wrong on both accounts.
Elon created and engaged with the rumors, Valve did not. Big difference.
Born and raised.
Hmm multiple videos of gaben talking about source 2.
