"supposed to cheat"? since when is cheating official supported?
sv_cheats
just kidding
Was so funny everytime when they simply typed "retry" in console and got banned.
valve dont allow cheating. read the TOS.
VAC2 loads with steam, VAC3/other modules only after the gameprocess.
So using a detected cheat can still cause a VAC ban even when loading -insecure
Because of this people and cheat providers got confused 2 years ago when there was a mix of VAC and untrusted bans + VAC bans for other games ( playing it while cheat wasn't unloaded ) even while the cheat was meant for CS:GO.
VAC only starts working when you connect to the server, you can sit in menu with detected cheats and wont get banned.
But if you inject and cheat and not use it you will be VACced as it is injected and you currently play
Wrong. Some modules from steam are loaded with steam itself, the modules for the specific game that you start will be loaded after the gameprocess has been started and even more are loaded when joining a server.
If you are familiar with gamehacking or c/c+ i would suggest having a look at UC forums and learn a thing or 2 before trying to correct someone.
This^
What is VAC?
VAC stands for Valve Anti-Cheat, an automated system designed to detect cheats installed on users' computers. If a user connects to a VAC-Secured server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will ban the user from playing that game on VAC-Secured servers in the future.

I'd rather trust valve on how VAC really works than idiots from UC
PS
Do they still believe that junk code changes sigs? Cuz in 2018 they did
And that is the same attitude valve has and here we are with thousands of cheaters undetected within the game.
You don't realise apparently that valve, just like BE/EAC and other game and anti cheat developers do not make everything public how their AC works for obv reasons.
Cheat providers ( public ones, p2c ) nearly 3/4 years undetected.
Try this and you will see it first hand:
