Allowed Mods for CSGO (VAC Safe)

Are the following game modifications FULLY permitted by VAC? :

- Hitmarker mods that do not show through solid objects
- Replacing gun models/skins in the file system
- Replacing minimap/radar images with callout versions
- Changing the in-game font via the file system

Yeah, I was gonna try that. I'm just not sure where VAC draws the line when dictating what a cheat is.

It depends on if you connect to a vac secured server. Private matches might not be vac secured but im not really sure. And i think replacing the minimap images is ok. Ive seen some streamers using versions with callouts on them in comp. games

For the radar if you're talking about simple radar or whatever it is that's VAC safe.

Anything that modifies game files can trigger VAC.
I don't know about the others but i do know that any skin changing mods will trigger VAC when connected to Vac server.

any modding game files=vac bans ie sweetfx and some other stuff are considered cheating by vac plus theres already call out map its called above the minimap

I believe it is possible to change the ingame font without afflicting with VAC, but you'd need to be careful, and get it from a reliable source. The map is fine aswell, as long as you know what you're doing with the files. Apart from that, I think the rest are bannable.

AFAIK, replacing the minimap images or changing the font will not result in a VAC ban.

That's not the case. You only get a VAC ban by modifying the .dll or .exe files. The things he listed are merely aesthetic, changing some .txt/.png files and do not provide an advantage, so they do not count as cheating.
