Riot Shields in CS:GO

I was thinking the role of the Riot shield was to be passive strictly for protection and would be only available for CT. It will cost an estimate of £1000 or less.

Advantages:

-Can hold off a certain amount of directional enemy fire when facing the enemy
-Give EXTRA protection to team mates and yourselve when standing behind the shield
-Can save your life
-Can be dropped and picked up be other team-mates
-Can deflect grenades of any kind

Disadvantages:

-Only 2 team-mates are allowed to use it per round
-Expensive to use
-Vulnerable from Left , Right , Behind.
-Walk slower when in use
-Cant use any weapon when in use which means that you need team-mates around or hold off the enemies and wait until it breaks which will be after an average of 50 Bullets or more.

Hope you like this Idea, I think this would open up a range of new tactics and gameplay. :)

2 teammates lol more like all teammates since vavle is to stupid to do a patch that would patch the awp to only one person so what makes you think they will patch that in? plus that pos was removed cause its like an awp cheap and the only way to kill was to use an awp/scout or the scoop weapons

Why was it removed?

*Based around my expiriences in CS Beta back in the old days.
1: It's CT's only
2: It protects you in the left and the front
3: you can use a pistol
4: you need 2 shots from a AWP to kill with it
5: You're basically a tank if you're also good with the Deagle
6: You have to be a ninja to kill a Riot shield User
7: All Competitive leagues in CS 1.6 Prohibited riot shields
7: It cost 1000$ in CS 1.6 Therefore cheap
9: I repeated 7, lol
10: You basically win in a knife fight

Imagine 10 CT in casual bought ALL of the shield and literally push into bombsite in a circular defence,then defuse without giving any fuxk

This isn't a tactical realistic war game. This is a competitive shooter with the basics

if they do the riot shield, i think they should do it simiar to the shield in rainbow six.
(+= advantage, - = negative, ? = negative or postitive depending on your perspective)

> + the shield is immune to all bullet damage
> - does not reduce explosive damage
> ? only protects the front (just enough to protect teammates)
> + can use a pistol while equiped
> - increased inaccuracy and recoil while using both the shield and pistol
> - knifing a shield user will cause the shield to be temporarily knocked away thus leaving the user valuable to all attacks
> ? can only be used by CT (I know its the attacking team that have shields by it makes more sense that CT have them)
> ? cost $2600 ( $500 cheaper than the m4a4 or m4a1-s)
> - reloading pistol can leaves your head exposed
> ? right click allows your pistol 100% first shot accuracy and reduced recoil but the shield is tilted where your head and upper body is exposed ( the accuracy is like that because your hand is supported on top of the shield)
> + only replaces the zues slot
> ? shield can cause bullets to ricochet depending on the angle (a trait seen in COD, not R6 but imagine how funny that would be if you somehow get a ricochet kill on a shield user's teammates but it can go the other way too)
> + switching out your shield will protect your back (even knife damage) including while defusing
> + theres no limit to how many team members can use it
> ? can be picked up by anyone however this will replace your primary weapon

So guys do this seem fair? does this seem like it can make a vaild entry to the current meta?

It could probably be abused now. I guarantee people would just plant bomb and then use a shield to make it so people can't defuse.

I did say that it would be only CT's however there is an error as terrorists would be able to pick them up, if thats ever the case. So if valve does add this they would need some extra patching such as no glitching in the bomb defuses..

But that would prevent everyone in casual from buying an AWP, which would be some sort of improvement.
