what is better buying skins or opening chests?

I was thinking, what is better buying skins directly on the market, or opening chests?

I mean every key costs 9,99BRL (2,79 USD brazilian price exchange), i could get lucky and get and much expensive drop like an knife, but i could also be unlock and drop something worth almost nothing.

What do you guys think?

well personally i would prefer just to buy skins, unless your looking to make profit. chances are youll end up putting a lot of money into case openings and lose it all

Buying I just opened 41 Cases and got nothing other than $0.10 to $0.38 skins Cases are Bull Crap

buy skins, or buy keys and trade for skins, opening crates will leave you pennyless with cheap skins

Statistically, it's MUCH cheaper to buy skin than to open cases. Now there is a fun factor to opening cases.

I opened around 140ish cases, got like one red skins worth $12.
I just buy the skins I want now.
Opskins, you can save around 30-20% off higher end knives.

opening cases is extremly risking, its sort of like gambling, sometimes you get something good, sometimes you get something bad, but you almost never get what you want. If your looking for a specific item i would reccomend the community market. If you want to play with luck I would recomend unboxing or even gambling sites. Either way hope you get something your happy with!

Agree i will never ever purchase another key.. is stupid you purchase key for $2.49 and get $0.10 skins at least you should get $1.85 to $2.20 skins

thank you guys, i was like "maybe i can get something nice like an knife", but chances are i will just lose money and get nothing really worth the key price.

Yeah that's why i was wondering if it was worth to open cases, but in the end the risk is too high.

I opened like 5 cases since i started playing CSGO, in total i problably got something around 10~15BRL (2,77~4,16 USD) worth of skins.

You just summed this up... or you lose 2,7€ or you get very lucky. Theres 0,3% chance to get knife, go on.

It's thrilling to think you could drop skins worth beyond 200$, but 0.3% is pretty low.
