Is Silver Elite Master good for a first rank?

Hi, I am just wondering if Silver Elite Master is good for a first rank. I only have about 50 hours on the game, and just got SEM. Is this a bad rank? Am I a noob or an alright player? Thanks for the feedback!

Welp, it has been roughly a year and a bit, and I have over 750hrs on CS:GO, and have deranked to SE over not playing comp. I was stuck at GN1 for THIS LONG and gave up... GabeN won in the end ;( I usually play with mg or dmg players, but I am SE. So yeah, just to sum up a year's worth of playing for anyone viewing this comment thread :-)

No,you don't have enough skill to play silver elite master rank unless you are smurf.

My first rank was silver 3 and took me 1 year of soloQ to get global. I think silver is normal if you're a beginner, don't feel bad about it ^^

this post is a year old, and yes I play with MGs now.

But since OP just came back June last year i hope he don’t mind about it.
Also I got silver elite at first 2 years ago. Now I also play with MGs.

Yeah I don't mind haha, on that month in June I really injured my arm, ripped a tendon in my wrist and had tight muscles to be exact, and stopped playing CS:GO properly until around the start of 2019... now I'm Silver 2, playing with Silver 3s and elites. Back to where I started, here goes another few 100 hours trying to get back up, happy 2019 btw.
