Can`t play competetive games using 4g modem internet (70 ping)

Last summer I was at home on holidays and I was using my 4g modem, bought csgo, played both normal and competetive games. When I came back to work to another city, I used there wifi only, but once (in winter) WiFI were down, and I plugged in my 4g. Started the competitive game, pressed accept and loading screen appeared, but only picture of the guy with a shotgun. No map name, no loading bar etc. I was waiting couple of minutes - nothing happened. Closed the game, started again, pressed "Reconnect" - same thing. THen i noticed, than in the Steam Library window cloud sign near multiplayer games were with a "?" mark. Maybe that means something that I can`t play competetive coz of that?..
Now Im on holidays again, and I have this s**t again. I can play normals, I can start a comptetive game but I can`t connect and play competetive game. So now I just ****ed up the game for another 4 guys and got 20 min ban. If somebody knows, what`s the problem, help please...

You're not in a hotspot so your connection is weaker...?

wifi is not meant for online gaming just go buy a cable

All of those are in exceptions of the firewall... I have no problem when I use WiFi, but I got the problem with 4g for the half of the year.

Hotspots are very vulnerable, very weak and may lead (not 100% sure) to vac ban... why? Because when you connect to hotspot it's very easy to "hack" you and give you some cheats :P

While I doubt anyone will give you cheats, that was the point I was trying to make (the ? Just indicated I was uncertain). The fact that he's using a hotspot makes it unreliable (and weaker = higher ping)

wifi is unstable and was never meant for online gaming

if you cant afford a wire then i guess you have to use wifi but its better if you get an ethernet cable

My 4g is pretty stable at home, 70 ping is not bad, but what happened, why I can`t play competitive with 4g anymore? Why I can start to find a match, press accept and get a still picture. Then dropped back to menu with a message "after 30 retries can`t connect"

It's not strong enough to hold a stable connection.

By 4g I assume using a hot spot like your phone? The thing is, in one spot your 4g might have an upload speed of 20mbps. We're as another spot you might only have 10mbps. Like a cell phone. Go into Walmart and at the entrance you may have 4 bars. By the time you reach the middle or back of the store you are now at 1-2 bars if not out of service.

The less bars the slower you will be.

Dude, im talking about 4g modem, small ♥♥♥♥ that i plug into my laptop with 50 cm USB cable. And the question is: why I could play competitive games with the same 4g modem last summer and why I can`t play it from winter till now?

English is not my native language, and I guess I`m older than you. But still you and another guy didn`t answer the question, but u call me "dummy" Why it was stable last summer and it became unstable this year? why I played competitive games last summer and why I can`t play it now? Sorry, I don`t know how to ask more clearly. Options for answer:
- You`ve played competitive games with 4g modem last year, because...
- You can`t play competitive games with 4g modem this year, because...
