Laptop for csgo
Hi, I am planning to buy a laptop for csgo. I want two things, 120 hz screen and 150+ constant fps.

Now there are two laptops in asus with i5 8th gen, 1050ti and ryzen 5 3550 gtx 1650. In ryzen I learned I will have to put dual channel ram of 8 gb with high Mhz (2 sticks) to get max fps. I don't have issues with that, it would cost a little extra. I am OK with it.

My last laptop had 100 fps, I don't think 150 or 200 fps would be any different but 120 hz screen will make a lot of difference. I don't want to spend another 200+ dollars on a i7 with 120 hz screen.

All I want to know can i5 8th gen or that ryzen laptop can give me above 120 or upto 150 constant fps so I can utilize that 120 hz screen.

I hope I am able to explain my situation properly, If anyone has experience with it Pls suggest.

My preferred resolution is all low settings and 4:3, 1024:768.

Thanks.

Hey man.

I’ve bought an Acer Nitro 5 with 144hz IPS screen, 16 gigs of RAM and a 1050ti. It also has i7-8750h. Performs around 250+fps with high setts (I don’t think I’m using 100% of it) and it was around $1k. I don’t know your budget but I’m happy with mine so I can recommend it.

Also if you’re ONLY playing CSGO, you need a good processor instead of graphics card. CS is CPU hungry.

With those settings, it should EASILY be able to run at 120fps+

This guy used a i5-8400 and 1050ti with 1024x768 on mirage and got over 200 FPS constantly!

They even got 150 fps constantly on 1080 max settings

So getting one of those laptops will be MORE then enough!

Hope this helps :)

You should be good with the i5, but it's like why not get the extra power you can use on any other game.

Though it's your choice, if your trying to save money, check out eBay for similar models for WAY less.
Alot even come with their warranty.

This is i5 processor for desktop not laptop. I5 on desktop can even give 300 fps.
