CSGO Packet Loss Problem [10bucks if anyone can fix it] FIXED
Whats up guys,

I recently started getting around 30-40% loss on official csgo servers (Comp, DM, Wingmen etc.).
My Internet connection is fine and I dont have packet loss in other multiplayer games. Same for Faceit and community servers, both are working fine with ~20ms and no packet loss or choke.

I tried different console commands like rate 786432 or net_maxroutable 1100. I also tried to open the CSGO ports in my router but nothing fixed the issue on official servers.
I also tried LAN and different WLAN adapters, same result.

The strange thing is, that the packet loss goes away when I use my VPN client. I just tried it in a DM game with VPN enabled and everything was fine and when I turned it off midgame, the packet loss went back to 32-36%.

Maybe some of you guys can help me out, I dont know what I can do anymore :D

Thanks and peace

Try this thread from Reddit.
https://www.reddit.com/r/VPN/comments/6w41jv/can_a_vpn_help_me_with_packet_lossconnection/?utm_source=amp&utm_medium=&utm_content=post_body

The Thread starter said that he fixes the problem with changing his DNS to Google DNS.
Have you tried it?

In my router I have the option to set a dynamic DNS, is that what you are referring to?

Probably change your DNS Router or your PC router (?)
Or maybe both tbh I never had that kind of problem so it's not my area of expertise.

Also, I found another thread in Steam Discussion

Maybe it can help you

Yes ofc, it increased my Ping but it was still better playin with ~60ms instead of 30% packet loss....and I dont know why the usage of a VPN is fixing the loss

edit: the problem exists for two weeks already so....
Unless the VPN put a virus on your computer so it makes it look like you need the VPN service.

Uselly I just reinstall windows at that point.
actually i'm having the same problem here too halp plz
i'm playing with an ether net cable i've been playing the game smoothly lately but yesterday i started getting this weird loss

Have verified integrity + reinstalled csgo/steam/windows yet?
I reinstalled CSGO and steam but not windows...I dont really want to reinstall windows all over again just for csgo but I might have to do it if nothing else is working

Maybe try +clientport 27009 as a CSGO Launch Option in case something is interfering with the default port.

Wow, I think the launch option did the trick....I just played on 6 different DM servers and had 0% loss....I will play a competitive later and will report if the problem is solved lol

Go and try the launch option mate, maybe it works for you aswell
Did not fix my problem
Edit:
Sadly neither of both suggestions worked....got 35% loss again on official matchmaking....went to BF5 and OW and got 0% loss and ~15ms as usual.....I dont know why its only on competitive CSGO :/
Yeah neither do I man, gaben telling us to stop playing this.
i'd reccomend you to try and check the routes packages take to the Server,
you can do this using "tracert 162.254.196.68" in the console of Windows. (im not sure how to do it under Linux since im less familiar with it) after typing said command in the console you should get a bunch of messages with domains / urls and ip adresses: these are the so called hops which the pakage takes on its way from your Router to the Server and back, generally only the amount of them is important: to the Server listed above I need around 8 jumps which is avarage and good enough for games. when you did this just reply to this message because then I can help you further
