Mouse Lock issue.. STILL!
When I play CSGO, and only CSGO, my mouse seems to not lock in the window and when I move my mouse too quickly or too far it moves out of the window. If I click when it is out of the window it tabs me out and I am a sitting duck for 5 seconds, which is the amount of time it takes me to tab back in and gain access to my controls again. Yet, this is very inconsistent and random when it does occur, usually I have to keep restarting the client or entirely restarting my pc to see if it works, but if I dont notice it and go into a game after warming up, it deems that match and the game totally unplayable. I dont know what is the issue, how I can fix it besides my temporary fix which is very inconstistent, and what is the trigger to make it exist in the first place. I have a dual monitor setup and I play on windowed mode with a 1280 x 1024 resolution. Does anyone know how to fix it and why it happens so I can resolve this months long issue? Thanks

TL;DR: Mouse doesnt lock in the middle of the screen when I play CSGO, resolution 1280 x 1024 windowed mode dual monitor setup. What is the reason this happens and how can I fix it? It seems this issue has been over 2 years old and I havent read anything about the resolution to the issue

Did you try the Dual Monitor Tool to block the mouse going for a second screen?

Also, (this will be an analogy to medical terminology) I am aware of several treatments of how to fix this issue, but the point is, its only a temporary fix, sort of like taking humalog for diabetes. I am curious about an actual cure, something that I can do to fix it once and it wont happen again. I am also curious of the cause, why does this occur, what was the trigger to make it happen. Im more curious about the cure and the cause rather than the temporary fix

I have never had this issue you are experiencing, even though I also have a dual monitor setup. Strange. Hope you find it.

Sorry to revive an old thread, I just wanted to help a few people if they still have the issue.

To make a long story short:
  • Disable mouse acceleration in CSGO.
  • Go into windows mouse settings and disable "Enhance Pointer Precision".
  • Make sure Windows mouse pointer options is in the middle (6th tick)
After that is all done, you should not have any problems with it leaving your screen. If you are still having the problem, post back.

Note: If your DPI is high enough, this may not work.
(ONLY TESTED ON WINDOWS 7 & 10)

Thank you,

this worked for me, i have Razer mouse and i use drivers Razzer Synapse,
+
in synapse: mouse sensitivyty 1050
polling rate 500
in game: sensitivity 1.28

there is bug(in razer drivers): you have to use there always sensitivity <2000 DPI if you have multi display setup
