Can I appeal an overwatch ban?
The last month or so I've been grinding cs flat out, I bought the operation pin too in an attempt to get it to gold. I've stopped playing with music and have been playing the way my friends have been telling me for a while. Recently I've begun playing extremely well in comparison to me before and now, during a competitive game I have been overwatched. I believe this to be a false negative as I'd NEVER hack in this game with the amount of hours and money I've pumped into it (even though I eventually lose it all through cs:golounge)
I'd like some information back please, I'm MG2.
I appreciate everybody's input, thanks.

No it doesn't. Try reading it before giving out false information.

Overwatch Ban
An Overwatch ban will be issued to any account that is convicted for cheating or abusive behavior by Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's Overwatch system. This ban is not negotiable and cannot be removed. If you choose to purchase a new copy of the banned game, please register it or purchase it under a newly-created Steam account.

Oh my goodness. If you would just read things you post you would understand that the link refer's to the other games that Valve hosts who use VaC... that is for the developers of those games not CSGO. :steamfacepalm: indeed.

Please do yourself a favor and actually read the articles.

get some brain cells.
Do players now have to appeal bans by contacting a game developer directly, or can this go through Valve/Steam customer service as well?

Players should first contact the game developer if they wish to appeal a game ban, since the developer has the data describing why the ban occurred. If a player feels the game developer is being unreasonable, he/she should contact Steam Support. If Valve determines a game developer is abusing the ability to apply game bans, Valve can remove the ability for that developer to apply bans in the future.

Valve is the game developer of CSGO. So Valve is going to remove the ability for themselves to apply bans? On their own game? In what world does that make any sense whatsoever?

A Game Ban on CSGO is not negotiable... I am not making this up they have stated this:

Overwatch Ban
An Overwatch ban will be issued to any account that is convicted for cheating or abusive behavior by Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's Overwatch system. This ban is not negotiable and cannot be removed. If you choose to purchase a new copy of the banned game, please register it or purchase it under a newly-created Steam account.

The above is a direct quote from their own support article.
