No, VAC will only see cheats injecting into csgo.

unless it injects into your game and you haven't searched up "csgo hacks" or been on a hack website (TMCheats, virtual advance and so on) then you'll be fine. GTA 5 has nothing to do with valve or csgo

my friend was VAC banned for GTA 5 cheats. He forgot to turn them off while playing CS:GO and the cheat files were modifing his graphics drivers so he could see through walls. Long story short, valve caught it and now he is VAC banned

Not possible, it isn't even you so don't tell stories you cannot confirm. Your friend could have just spinbotted for an hour and told you it was gta. Link his profile.

cheats for gta 5 would not translate to csgo. He'd also have to activate them.

yeah my main is vac'd banned on mw2. I was banned on black ops 2 and arma 2 operation arrowhead http://steamcommunity.com/id/LifeisaBeach/

all of them for cheating ;)
