Mac reportcrash process taking up most of CPU

The game is running fine, however the csgo process is creating another process called reportcrash which takes up most of my CPU if not all of it leading to heating and massive low fps. I've tried killing the program but it keeps on coming back.

On more research this process is run by OSX when an app crashes to save and reload previous state of that application. Im not sure why this is happening with csgo since the app is not crashing and is fine.

Any help would be appreciated.
