Is the AMD FX-6200 good for CS:GO?
My build is pretty old, had it built since late 2013. I've been experiencing issues with CSGO since I first got it. Thought it was just the game, but I may think it's the motherboard or the CPU.

You should be able to run CSGO with that CPU but you may not be able to get stable 150+ fps with it. You should get at least 60 fps all the time though. This is assuming you have an adequate video card.

I have an amd fx 6300 and usually in dust 2 I get 200 fps. You can check your cpu power in game debate and you can even check if you can run the game at 60 fps.

Hmmmm is should be okay-ish. You'll be able to run the game and get moderate performance. Don't expect to get the gaming experience that players with 300+ fps and 144hz monitors get.

Ya invest in a better cpu. You can keep until next year when the new amd cpu's are going to come out and kick ass. Saving my money already :D

I don't know why, but the game has been dropping in performance since October. I thinking of a new build, since my current one has a pretty much used up motherboard. Replacing it with a gigabyte motherboard. Increase my ram from 8gb to 16gb. Keep the GPU and get a ssd for OS boot up time.

Csgo graphics are improving and wait for next year. You can buy a cpu and a gpu. Just wait for amd new gen cpu's.

I prefer Nvidia for both Shadow play and driver experience.

I am running on highest settings at 50 fps with a Pentium G2020 and a GTX 750 TI, with 4GB of RAM. Something is certainly wrong on your end.

It may not be worth upgrading the ram unless you're adding an extra ram channel as CSGO is a 32bit application that seems to be limited to roughly 4gb of memory usage at the moment.

I think either the motherboard or the CPU has given up on me.

I was planning on getting fallout 4 and maybe doom (when the price is right after awhile). I haven't done much to my PC but the upgrade specs I set for are the limit I'll go to.

Your cpu is being Bottlenecked bt your gpu. Strongly recommend buying a new cpu for double the frames.
