Asus Strix GTX 1070 and i7 3770k bottleneck?

Hello guys i get low fps with my new gtx 1070 and i7 3770k processor on 1440p resolution , i had before gtx 980 and i had more fps in games like with 1070 now , i expected a bit higher fps but have lower, i tryed to reinstall drivers, windows ,turn off some settings like vsync , put power on maximum performance but nothing same problem , like in csgo i have fps drops to 90, h1z1 at high settings drops to 40fps. Any ideas?

it's not the gpu. I have the 1070 and mine is awesome, getting 200 - 300 fps on max settings in csgo. But in saying that my system is a little better. I have an i7 6700k, 32 gb ram and running everything off a 500gb ssd and the maximus vii hero mb.

maybe its a problem of fabrication.

It could be but I would more than likely put it down to a combination of hard drive speed, ram and cpu.

Try using a driver cleaner program, follow the instructions for it. Once cleaned install the latest nvidia drivers

its not drivers
if you read him he told that with GTX980 he dont have problems and now with 1070 he have low fps on all games.
Still thinking its the new GPU wich have some problems inside.

The software that comes with the 1070 auto installs the required drivers and does auto updates so unless the OP has done something drastically wrong it shouldn't be a driver issue.

The 1070 is not godlike more faster than a gtx980... its even only.a little bit faster.than a gtx980ti. Depending on Manufactures base OC.

I would test everything.
With intel burn test the cpu.
The GPU with a benchmsrk tool.
The hdd with the hdd tool and compare it with other people.

I agree with that and would do the same, The only other issue I could see it being is that he has brought a dodgy card from one of the cheaper manufacturers and it is a build/hardware problem.
