Is MM Server Picker safe to use with VAC?
Hi,

I recently found out there is a way to ban specific regions in searching for a match, has anyone used it and is it safe to use?

I am just doing anything to avoid Turks in matchmaking cause they come to lobby and for some reason they dunno what is Discord and Teamspeak and speak their own language loudly in game and worse than all 99% are hacking like there is no tomorrow.

One day we thought it was Russians but they just surpassed them.

I'm not sure it works anymore. You can use firewall rules to block servers in a manner that allows you to connect to whatever region you want. It's not automated like MM Server Picker though.

Edit: No, neither will cause a VAC or Overwatch ban.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't work anymore. Valve moved network_config.json so it's now server-based, not locally installed, and the program has not been updated to pull from the network location.

Maybe the program's config files can be manually updated by users and that would get it working again.

They vote kicked me out last time I asked. besides the cheater problem with this region still remains. The main problem is Turks being able to connect to EU servers like us :(

Go online and find network_config.json (I'm not sure I'm supposed to link it). With the info in that JSON, you can create firewall rules to block any servers you want. It's not hard, just a bit laborious.
