Competitive admins
Would it not be great if we could let people, experienced players have admin rights in competitive? If there is no question about players use spinhack, wallhack or aimbot, then this admin is able to kick/ban that player from the game. And if this is abused for kicking/banning non cheaters then the admin gets a 7 day ban. You would need 1500+ hours and a solid clean record to get admin rights.

*Edit*

A ban by an admin would result with an instant overwatch vieweing by other investigators and if they judge the player not guilty, then the admin get punished in some way for abusing his/her powers.

With power comes tentation.

Oh that guy just prefire-headshotted me. Kick.

You would not be able to kick/ban players without hard proof or you will get banned for abusing the system yourself. A player with 1500+ hours will probably not risk getting banned for 7 days and lose the admin rights just because he got killed by a pre-fire. If you Ban a player then Valve should go through that ban and check that it is legit or the admin that banned get a matchmaking ban.

But overwatch don't really do much since most overwatch players are innocent. I watched a few in a row and fell asleep because nothing was happening. Unexperienced players without cheats get reported to overwatch and then we have to watch it.. It would be way better if we could just instant ban cheaters that ain't even hiding it, I see many blatant cheaters on supreme level and every time the fun level drops to -1 because I can't do anything about their cheating.. I report the cheaters that cheat like there is no tomorrow, but some times they don't even get banned because I get no feedback in csgo about them getting banned.

As good as the idea sounds in practice, it's not realistically feasible. There are hundreds or thousands of games going on at any given point in time, and more than half aren't even MG level. The system of identifying cheaters using a jury and then removing the games that the cheaters were in is pretty good, although it takes a bit of time before it occurs.
Overwatch is probably the best that we'll ever get, especially since it gives more power to players who make correct convictions, and less power to those who are wrong.

That cannot work, how are you going to judge in a live match if you can't see the other persons screen?

You need to be able to watch a demo to be able to judge, hence overwatch.

there are only a small player base who got a false OW ban, it was because of a bug. that was fixed.

but still.. you want the OW player to watch live the games..
(you said experienced player, that ARE OW user..,)

Some cheaters don't even need Overwatch to be caught. The admin system would only be there to ban cheaters that are cheating 100%. Banning people for playing a little weird would not be allowed. Spinhackers should not even have the right for an investigation before getting a ban, ban the spinhacker first and then he can have his trial in overwatch.

again, you are just describing how OW works..

If a blatant cheater in one game don't get enough reports then he won't even get to overwatch. With an experienced admin to ban a spinhack player for an overwatch trial, the spinhacker would never go free.

ok i take it.

explain HOW a admin can find that guy?
the amount of reports dont count for you. so how should a admin know which game he need to watch?

The admin could just be a player with 1500+ hours played and a clean record that can ban players in his own game or jump from game to game in live matches where players get reports. Admins would not be able to talk to players that he spectate in live. Admin ban should result with an ban till overwatch investigation with other experienced judges, and it the ban don't go through then the admin is punished.

so you want to shift the OW to only ONE player? "where he get reports" so every game which are played?

pls just think one second about it..
H2DANG Aug 15, 2016 @ 5:52pm
more than 1500 hours, thats not very many
Pizzashot Aug 15, 2016 @ 5:53pm
The banned and suspected cheater will still have an overwatch judgement by other investigators, but he can't play more on that account in competitive before the investigators deliver their judgement. It would be like a pending ban, that could be lifted if the admin was wrong.
