Ok, so here is my subjective speculation on how well CS-GO is doing and why they ups and downs. This is a site that show and increase and decrease in players activities. By all means if anyone would like to comment, feel free.

This is just my own opinion and I could be out to lunch for all I know :-)

May 2016 -37,057 Smurfs/hackers still playing new accounts
June 2016 -4,427 Still no relief
July 2016 +19,466 PRIME introduced and activated
Last 30 days -14,033 New spray patterns, AK now a OP awp rifle

I would think that Valve should realize by now that changing things what they think is "better" is actually now really working for them. Ya, you can throw a bone for distraction, but when you look closely, not matter how much makeup and clothes and try to change the appearance of a pig, it's still a pig.
