This sentence contradicts itself. It's "unfair because you die within seconds" (8+ seconds to freely think about which target to engage first), while also "unreliable because you don't know when their protection ends".
Spawns are fine, pick better targets. Or just enjoy the deathmatch for what it is, deathmatch. You're making a big deal out of nothing.
Even then, I get sort of angry at spawns too. But if you're dying when you spawn near somebody, but also when somebody spawns near you, then it's not an imbalance. It's simply that you are having trouble dealing with the situation.
When you spawn near somebody, realize that as much time as you take to react, you're giving them time to react as well. Same thing the other way around- if somebody spawns near you, the longer they take to react is the amount of time you get to react.
Basically, if you spawn near them and die, then you gave them too much time to react, and if they spawn near you and you die, they reacted faster then you.
But seriously- CS:GO is designed for tactical 5v5 missions, not 10v10 DMs. It's a lot harder to program good spawning when the maps are crowded and people are constantly spawning over and over.
There is no contradiction, you should not spawn where you can engage an enemy from your spawn point. That few seconds i mentioned are required for you to look at map, your surroundings and figure out where you are compared to rest of your team and contemplate where enemy might be, and check your flanks. Spawn protection does give some advantage to this but also brings its own troubles. Proper course would be to be spawn behind your teammates and your enemies. Then you engage.
Dude when you spawn between an enemy team no matter what you do you'll die. Its not combat, there is no tactics/plan at spawn killing. You headshot them, his friends headshot you; waste of time. And there are things like constant T start area spawn in inferno when the game will continuously spawn you in the same spot 4-5 times one right after another (happening all the time). And anyone decent will be camping that area, so initiative will be his.
I dont mind competitive, but i'd like to play some 8v8 (at old times 8v8, 10v10 this is how you played in CS cafes) proper relaxed action where you can get in and get out the game without penatly. Dm is adhering to that mentality albeit poorly. Old times you still spawned once a round and bought your equipment (that is the most i miss in DM grenades etc but i agree would be insane if they were included). In dm they wanted fast action and wanted even bad players to be able to play with weapons they choose. But if you do DM you need good spawns. And even spawn protection is fine but the second you move or shoot it should be gone, a delay has no purpose there.
bootlicker, the mode is broken and that's that. two wrongs doesn't make one right lmao.
