Aurora Keyboard lighting app and CSGO VAC
Haven't had an issue yet and I haven't run across any topics on the intrawebs about the keyboard light mapping app Aurora and its interaction with the VAC while playing CSGO.

From what I gather the Aurora app "injects" or modifies the .cfg files or similar files in games to allow and detect the true keyboard light mapping process the game(s) offer.

I have a G910. I'm sure most of you are aware of how awful the provided Logitech lighting app is. Unless I'm missing a crucial step in the Logitech app, the offered lighting maps are standard at best and offer no animations other than the rainbow and star effect, etc. I was looking for something more intergrated and animated that functions with the game.

By using Aurora I am able to play games like CSGO, Overwatch, and GTA V with full blown interactive lighting and lighting effects that change for CT and T side, different characters, etc.

I understand the risks involved here: Being banned, etc. Just looking for a little feedback on peer experiences.

Anyone else using a G910 with Aurora on CSGO or Overwatch?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks.

I have a few rgb source, keyboard, mouse and memory module as well as a strip running inside the case. I would very much like to use this app but am very nervous about vac safety, I even contacted steam support and they said they cant confirm 3rd party software for vac safety. Its been 2 years since u posted and i dont see any ban on your account. can you tell me your experience thus far. I understand that valve allows for game state integration which means that other software can read whats going on the game.

I'm nervous so im asking around as much as possible.

Shimon - I used Aurora safely way back then with no issues playing CS GO, Overwatch and a few other games. Since then I have stopped using Aurora and actually do not have the time to play many games anymore. Wish I had a conclusive answer for you. The software was safe for me back then but I can only assume there's been updates and new software that might not be trusted by Valve and the VAC system. Be careful!
