Csgo boosts my mic to 100% [SOLVED]

Hello!

I've searched and tried to fix this problem but nothign seems to work, it's not the drivers, but everytime i start csgo the mic boosts to 100% wich is annoying af ;,,; can someone help me? thanks in advance

Windows can think that CS:GO is a phone call. Go in your Windows sound settings and set the call thing to 'do nothing'. That might fix it.

hello thanks for the reply! i've doen that as well, and i even changed the values with console commands and still does it >.<

just tried and problem presists, i even tried to go on steam settings, voice or audio settings, and slide the mic bar to 75+- and as soon as i start csgo bamn! 100 ;,,;

Hey azkat!! <3 okay so guys i just found out!!! from an old discussion.. changing in console with this command seems to work " voice_mixer_volume 0.5 " ... or go into "config file and change it yourself! hope it helps

That doesn't work at all for me (the voice_mixer volume thing, it's always set to 1 for me)

pretty sure it didn't work for me a few days ago, but now it just did! try changing the config file, hope it works!

Solution if setting those values to 1 don't work

Try this:
1. Delete the cfg folder from inside csgo (now it's being saved in the userdata \ user id \ game id \ cfg
2. In that userdata folder, check if it isn't set to 0 on either "config" or "autoexec.cfg"

type voice_mixer_volume 0.6 in console and it will fix it pernamently to 60% of your mic power
