fast switch to pistol
Ok I have noticed that when I change from my rifle to my pistol, it's pretty slow.... to say that if I am engaged with an enemy close range, Ill be dying during the switch over. But I have noticed that I see people make the switch to pistol and not missing a shot. There is almost no delay between their switch overs.

I am playing in Deathmatch. So I can tell when people are getting stuck in the switch overs, you actually see them jumping around to avoid being hit. There are a few that don't. They get to the end of their clip and their pistol is alreay out and firing in like a quarter of a second.

The time switch I did took just over a second between the changeover.

So is it a combination of certain weapons that does this or certain pistols?

I would like to know before calling foul on someone.

those who make fast switches are probably using 1 2 3 4
Weapons have different "switch time", sry forgot the proper name. For instance, cz takes the most time to "put the word here, I forgot" from all pistols. Plus, reloading time is different for many weapons as well but it just btw.

Edit: had to use counter wiki site, it is so-called drawing time.
maybe there are other sites with more stats on weapons but the one I used was:

Ya but I am talking about the time for weapon swtiching, not reload time.
:-)
Yep, but what I meant was that weapons' drawing time is different. Check that page. Usp, p2000 and glock have 2.2 seconds but cz-75 has 2.7 seconds to switch and be able to shoot. Smg, as far as I remember have lower drawing time than riffles but I could be wrong here or there are some similar or exact same drawing time for some specific weapon. Cant give you any other web but there are plenty of them with stats.

Anyway, if that is the case and you play for example with cz as a secondary and your opponent has usp he will be able to shot first cuz your guns' drawing time difference is 0.5 second.

Btw, annimation could be an issue as well. Meaning the ping. So you see the guy drawing exact same pistol (ex. tec) same moment as you but there is a client-server, apart from human reaction.

Edit: that time I wrote was for reloading, sry again, but the drawing time I think is the same as reloading.
